Beautiful honeymoon trip to Paris

Beautiful hotel, a real oasis in Paris. It is a bit less central but super easier to get to various metro stations. The staff were all so friendly, the breakfast, rooms and service were all phenomenal and overall it was just a really special stay.

Stylish but dysfunctional and lack of service.

The hotel has a very nice overall concept and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff tries to be as helpful as possible. The bar section and breakfast in the morning were much better than many of our experiences in Paris.

Although the hotel is close to the main street, Victor Hugo, it is quite far from many points and transportation can be quite cumbersome. It is not a very suitable hotel for a family vacation, especially if you have a baby. Although the staff tries to be helpful, the rooms, hotel entrance and general structure are not very suitable for a family vacation. The rooms are a bit small and designed with limited functionality according to our standards. The SPA section was below average compared to many of our previous experiences. Finally, during our departure, we had to wait for hours due to a great deal of unplanned chaos at ORLY for the transfer and farewell service that needed to be arranged. It was inadequate for such a hotel that they only apologized and did not take responsibility for the situation.

Since we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, they offered us a complimentary room upgrade.

There was nothing extraordinary about the property for the price we paid for it. We expected it to be a lot bigger and grander. But there wasn't anything that stood out. They even charged us for milk for coffee machine in room, which should be very basic at a five star resort.

Location is bad, you have to take taxi anywhere Pool is cold & very very tiny. Staff is not professional & it’s obvious they are not trained , half the time they are on their phones. Ordered omelette w mixed veggies got veggies separately every time even when I told them I want it mixed into the omelette - several times I told this! They have no barista nor any knowledge about coffe- whatever you order you will always get bad coffe w scolding milk on the side. Ordered latte, cappuccino each time I got coffee w scolding milk on the side (I even explained that I want espresso w milk). It’s a joke. Seriously so unprofessional & not the slightest knowledgeable staff.

Please please please keep this secret!

This is my only must go to in Paris - the environment, rooms, service, restaurant, bar and garden (when the weather allows) are simply as good as it gets - check with your bank manager prior to going as it tempts all your senses. The dinner, service and environ that a friend and I enjoyed last night were simply exceptional.

Loved the relaxing and quiet atmosphere in the middle of a busy city

Quite expensive but the breads were excellent Elegant dining room. Very attentive staff

Bathroom was slightly small but I could see that the area of the whole room didn't allow for it to be larger. Water pressure of the shower was very poor

As good as it gets in Paris

St James is a palace hidden in the center of Paris. From the moment you walk through the gates and past that iconic fountain, to the moment the staff check you in, it all feels incredible. The decor and rooms are amazing and we really enjoyed chilling in the bar and their gorgeous back garden for drinks in the evening. It was my birthday and they went out of their way to help us celebrate
