The room (type Chambre Superieure) was comfortable and exactly what we wanted. Ours had a small/narrow balcony (on the second floor for the rooms 201, 202, 203, 204 etc.?) I think we actually noticed there are no balconies on other floors. There is only 1 Chambre Superieure on each floor. WLAN secured with a password is available. Daily we received 1 small bottle of mineral water/person free of charge. The room temperature was quite ok. The hotel location is very good.

The bathroom has an electric radiator. If it was turned off before, it takes min. 20 minutes to heat up = extremely slowly. Upon arrival we fumbled for 3 hours testing all configuration settings for 5 mins each time, and finally gave up. You'd better check with the reception desk, they ordered an electrician next morning, who solved the issue. Some noise in the street in the morning at some 6 or 7 a.m. due to garbage collection - you must live with it. We did not make use of the breakfast option at Hotel Duret. On New Year's Eve (starting some 4 p.m.) be aware that a good number of subway stations (on metro 1, but not only) are off access. Numerous streets are blocked near Arc de Triomphe/Etoile and Champs-Elysees. You have to largely circumvent the area - due to security measures. It was tiring, because a lot of people in the area (Champs-Elysees, Etoile etc.) had to circumvent the area too, which meant small transverse streets became suddenly very crowded. Of course, Hotel Duret has no fault in this situation, on the other hand at 11:45 p.m. we could walk only a short distance (stone's throw) to Boul. Grande Armee (pedestrian area by then), to watch the New Year fireworks.

the property booking pictures doesn’t look the same in real life plus when we booked the room it had another pictures so we paid more for another room dicorating that looked soo old and ashy and the smell of it was very bad and then they made us pay more 100 euros to upgrade and when we upgraded it was the same as the pictures we chose and paid for it in booking so basically we paid more for the reservation we booked :/

Big disappointment at the heart of Paris... Totally unexpected... :(

1. The hotel "forgot" to mention that currently the whole building is covered in scafffolding, so the view presented in booking is only theoretical... Small documentation in attached photos... 2. I paid for the "superior" room - in description at booking: "Decorated in purple tones, these spacious rooms feature a large desk, a small dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a heated towel rail...". In fact it nether "spacious" nor "purple tones". In fact it was a totally different and small room (see photos attached). After deep review - yes, in booking offer AT THE END there are 3 or 4 photos from this room but of course nobody is able to reach them after 10 or 15 photos in the front. So, in my humble opinion - deliberate action from the side of the hotel. Sorry, but nothing than big disappointment.

great hotel for a couple gateway

great location, not too touristy area but amazing restaurants close by for locals and metro takes you anyway anywhere. room spotless clean, bed comfortable , enough space for few nights (we paid some delux room)

it is rather a small hotel, breakfast was not special , but didn’t bother me, we went to French bakery for real experience

Good location and spacious room!

Good location, friendly staff, clean room, fast Wi-Fi. Probably the biggest room I’ve stayed in Paris in all my times there! We asked for a baby crib and it was there when we arrived, large and sturdy. I’ll definitely consider staying here next time I go.

The closest parking is a bit far from the hotel, around an 5-10 min walk, and not very accessible. The hotel elevator could also be a little small for people in a wheelchair.

The bed was nice and room was good size

Cleanliness: I used a mug in the bathroom and instead of washing it, the cleaning staff put my toothbrush in it. After two cleanings the bathroom mug was still not washed. I consider it a serious hygiene issue. Staff: the staff did the strict minimum and did not show any proactivity or compassion. I arrived in the morning snd asked for an early check in. They refused to let me in, so I had to spend half a day in heavy rain. I would have expected them to allow me to stay in the lobby to replan my morning or to offer advise, or to offer an umbrella.

I liked the location of the hotel ,having airco during the summer hot days was a big plus, the bed was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom had a bath, it was quiet at night, no noise from outside.

the minibar did not cool off the drinks, there is no parking.
