Very lovely building and nice staff

The château is a lovely old property that has been beautifully refurbished with great care and attention to detail by the present owners. It is surrounded by acres of land, located just north of Tours; a convenient stopover when driving from Spain to Calais.
We ate in the restaurant and the cocktails, food and wine were all delicious, served by friendly and attentive staff. Dogs (on leash) are allowed in the bar and dining area for evenings and breakfasts; a welcome change to many hotels.
We enjoyed a nightcap seated by the open fire before retiring to our comfortable room, which was surprisingly warm considering the snow outside and size of the room and windows! I can imagine it being a perfect location to get all the family together for Christmas or special occasion. We will be visiting again on our travels and I would very much like to see it in the summer months.

Good location, good breakfast, good restaurant with set menu with really good options. Spacious nice rooms.
We entered our room when it was dark and we had a nice stay. The room was very clean. Next morning we woke up and when we wanted to open the windows, we realized that there were 9-10 black flies (not small).. when we were at the reception, I kindly mentioned the situation and the answer was yes we know the problem and this is an old building. If you told us we could have cleaned it. Well maybe, the answer could have been : “we will check from now on before the guests arrive and we will make sure that they are gone.” Maybe check every day. This is a great hotel, I am sure that there are ways to tackle black flies other than waiting guests to find out and mention them.

The location was lovely and Relaxing! The receptionist Britt was especially helpful with touring suggestions. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent. We had no complaints.

We loved the opportunity to stay in a historic chateau located right outside of Tours. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodated all that we needed.
The Apple Maps shows a different location than the official name of the chateau. I would recommend the staff to get this updated for foreign travelers. No fault of the property itself.

Fantastic Chateau with friendly owners and staff

Great location for a stopover from the Caen ferry driving to Toulouse - so much nicer and definitely a lot more special than a motorway type hotel! The Chateau looked so beautiful on a sunny autumn evening and was very relaxing after a long ferry voyage and three hour car journey - just what we needed! The room was bright, cheerful and comfortable with an air of faded elegance which was delightful - we loved it! The staff were friendly, if a little overstretched at times, but we had good service.
The restaurant was in a beautiful room, but felt a bit lacking in atmosphere - could do with tidying up and thinking about size and placing of tables etc. maybe some warmer lighting? The food was ok but a little over fussy, simpler French food without all the ‘twiddly’ bits would be better! It was also rather expensive compared to other places we have eaten at.

More dinner availability would be great. That's my only complaint.

Building and grounds at face value.
Large number of flies and bugs in the room all over the curtains and windows, and on the bed. We flagged with the receptionist and she said she would sort the issue whilst we ate our meal. We returned to the room and there was still a large number of bugs, we were bitten in the night.
We mentioned it again when we checked out and the receptionist apologised and issued some reconciliation. She did say "she has bugs in her house too", which was a weak excuse and didn't reflect that we are paying guests and that bugs 100% shouldn't be in the room and on the bed of a three star hotel, regardless of the "character" and age of the building.
The restaurant and food was very expensive and lacking quality. A surcharge on some menu items + 15 euro table cover charge, and 3 euro for a glass bottle of tap water. Service was slow, seated at 20:00 and the main didn't come out until 21:30. Restaurant staff were attentive at first but seemed to loose enthusiasm once it was clear they could not offer the service that they wanted to, due to the delay between courses. It's a strange experience, trying to be high end fine dining, but misses the mark consistently.
We appreciate the effort put into the renovation so far, but feel as if some basics have been skipped in favour of achieving a particular "look" or feel, rather than a solid experience. Until improvements are made to the room we stayed in and the food we could not recommend at the prices that are currently charged. This was the most expensive and lowest quality hotel we stayed in across our whole 2 week trip.

Warm welcome from Brett. Lovely large room. Unfortunately restaurant was closed bar food was adequate. Unfortunately after a long journey we would have preferred a substantial hot meal.
Chateau is being restored to a nice authenticity.
Good parking on site. Dog friendly.
Breakfast was poor for the price. No proper choices.

Beautiful decor, lovely rooms, dining rooms and bar. Great service - staff very welcoming and helpful! Love the horse and the chickens roaming around.
Nothing. Dinner was a set 3 course menu so if you want less or something more casual you are a bit stuck as you aren’t close to anything for a meal without driving. But if you know that - all good!

Beautiful bathroom tiles and a great shower. The evening meal was delicious. Quiet surroundings.
Uneven and noisy wooden floors. House dogs living in an open-air electrified cage. Mediocre breakfast. Lots of stairs for an elder person.

A charming well restored Chateau with beautiful views.
Staff were friendly and attentive evening meal and breakfast exceptional good.
We found the property a little cold with no heating in the room, we also had a very bad smell from the wash basin which was reported to reception but appeared to go over their head

Coffe at breakfast cold, small bar area, some staff not welcoming

Welcoming place to stay. Food was excellent, staff brilliant. Pool was good. Rooms very clean. There is a quiet vibe that was very relaxing
There was no coffee lounge as described by Booking.com site. The restaurant opens at 7pm daily, the food was very good and the chef helped with dietary requirements. However there is no food available outside the continental breakfast and dinner in the evening. You do need your own car.

Beautiful chateau, Francois was a delight and makes the most amazing Spritz with Bergamot. Evening meal was delicious.
We needed a shower screen in the bathroom.

Such a beautiful property full of character the bed was amazing ! Very comfortable and big !! I loved the pool tucked away surrounded by beautiful trees … great way to start the day !!
A little disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open on a Monday night the platters were very tasty but I would have preferred a hot dish

There was a little sound problem but in all honesty there is little that could’ve been done didn’t negate the whole amazing experience of sleeping in a chateau!

Beautiful building, nice setting, friendly welcoming staff, comfortable room and beds.
It felt like it had only just become a hotel, it was short staffed and there were parts of the hotel that needed upgrading or renovation. We stayed in a 4 star hotel in another part of Tours which was cheaper, more modern, better equipped but this was a quirky alternative which had a bit of an interesting Fawlty Towers feel.

After three days of exploring Paris and many of the Loire Valley chateaus we enjoyed relaxing in the quiet wooded setting, swimming in the pool, and eating delicious al fresco dinner at the hotels’s restaurant. The chateau is unique and beautifully restored, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is in the middle of everything… I will be coming back next year for a longer stay.

Very clean room, beautiful surroundings and decor.
Bar Staff needed all time on the evening as we had to keep finding the staff member for a drink. €80 for 5 Gin & Tonics does seem excessive.

This is a lovely old chateau hotel. Comfortable beds. Swimming pool was lovely - weather was hot so the pool although unheated had become warm and was very refreshing.
Breakfast was included and was good - fruit, eggs cheese bread. I would have appreciated some vegan options such as coconut or soya yoghurt. Also decaf coffee would have been nice as an option.
Nothing.

Beautiful chateau in park-like setting, hospitality-driven staff, relaxing atmosphere. We wished we could have stayed for more than one night!

À château full of character, nice room with full facilités and wonderful views, pleasant and helpful staff, good dinner and breakfast,
Grounds not maintained to same standard as chateau: however not a major issue and understandable given the expense involved.

A 19th century chateau wonderfully well modernised by a young family on the edge of a village. Acres of grounds to explore with a pool.
One day they may have time to improve the gardens around the chateau instead of just lawns, with a some flowers in pots.

The place is beautiful! From the outside garden and the look of the house, to the general decoration of all rooms and the wonderful wooden staircase.
We had a very nice room with the bedroom separated in one of the buildings towers.
The Lady that owns the place and does the reception is very friendly and liked to show and explain the house to us.
