Disappointing Stay with Misleading Information and Poor Facilities

The room was clean

The room is overpriced, and it is not clearly stated which room includes a jacuzzi, which ended up disappointing us. In addition, the shower water does not get hot. At best, it can be described as lukewarm. Both the Wi-Fi and mobile signal are very weak. The bed was also extremely soft, which made it uncomfortable for the back. We brought these issues to the attention of the property manager, who claimed everything was supposed to be okay and was not willing to offer any solution. Therefore, I would not recommend this property for a stay.

Amazing view but the service wasn’t great

*The terrace was great with amazing sunsets *The room was pretty big *The bedroom was nice and dark during the night *Comfy bed *Shower had good water pressure and temperature

*There was no shower gel or any toileters/amenities *When we arrived, nobody was there. We had to call somebody and then a person came to let us in. It didn’t feel very welcoming, he seemed tired and complained about tourists *The place has an amazing view but there are many steps to get there and there is no supermarket at the same level, no minibar or any possibility to buy drinks or snacks at the hotel *We only set staff at the check in so it felt more like an Airbnb than a hotel as they call it *The cleaning was ok on the visible spots, but there was lots of dust around the tv, windows etc *No cleaning during our 4 days there, nobody even asked us *The jacuzzi had fresh water, but there was lots of limescale in it and it made a lot of noise * We were only given duvet covers without duvets inside, so we ended up freezing. There were blankets available, but I find them unhygienic

- Up in the hills, so every time you go to town it's quite a ride - Service was bit odd and slow - Owner is talking about "main house", but "main house" is not marked down. Property is bit unclear so we did't even try to use services of "main house"

The Icy house was absolutely amazing, great views and a fantastic house and board. Super clean and easy access to old town and lapad. Plus has a nice little gym

Very clean and modern accomodation, close to old town and beach if you don't mind some elevation. Owner is very helpful and mindful. Kitchen is super completed with everything. Overall, great experience!

The view and the room

The location it’s a 15min walk from old town. However you need to be prepared for up and down hill road and a lot of stairs.

At the end of the day its a sleep and somewhere to freshen up wouldn’t recommendas the locationis is up one of the worst

Bathroom was quite nice and it was a comfy bed in Paris room but the sofa bed wasn’t comfortable

Room layout was strange couldn’t shut our shutter it was broke so anyone could just see in, the photos was pretty miss leading also

Very happy with this stay.

The property was great! The room was spotless & spacious. Great location - walking distance to the old town, lots of supermarkets close by! It is situated on a steep hill so you may need to Uber home- but the Ubers are very reasonably priced. The hosts were very friendly & helpful providing us with information on things to do in Dubrovnik. There is a kitchen area & outdoor terrace in the accommodation if you wanted to cook at home! Would definitely stay here again if I return to Dubrovnik.

It was a pleasant stay.

I like that the room is spacious and clean, also the kitchen has great coffee maker & good coffee too. The common terass also very chill.. Location is calm area about 15 minutes by bus from Old Town. Bear in mind you have to clinb the stairs to go to the accommodation, it was okay for me since I only brought small luggage.

While the bus stop is nearby, need to match their schedule as it’s schedule isn’t very frequent. If you miss the bus have to wait long for next bus or walk to further bus stop

Good family hotel with nice owners, but location is a bit challenging

The house and the room were very good! Although there wasn't food making possibilities (no micro wave, no coffee machine). But that's OK. The owners were very nice people.

The location was quite challenging, as the facility is situated ca 150 metres up from downtown, so going to a 'quick walking tour' from the hotel is quite impossible, as climbing back is very hard job under the summer heat. However, once we took a Bolt taxi to return from downtown to the hotel, it cost ca 10 €, so this could work as an alternative to mountain climbing. I recommend this alternative to everyone, it solves the location problem!

Amazing!

The location was amazing! We got Ubers into old town and they never cost over €5 and for our short trip this was absolutely fine! The room was stunning, and the staff was extremely helpful and lovely. The view was also perfect!

Good guest house but on top of a hill

We liked the view , good size room ,nice balcony and amenities, espresso machine

The guest house is on top of a hill, please make sure you know this before booking ,you will need to book many Ubers and spend a lot of money for it. The shower didn't have shower gel , also it's not a very good shower , draining is slow so you flood the bathroom. The TV should be a smart TV , as as tourists we don't understand local TV. Should be good to know if the room has a hot tub ,as we thought we got it but we didn't.

Mold on ceiling and walls in garden view room

Beware of checking into a garden view room, the entire ceiling and walls are covered in mold due to lack of ventilation. It is suggested to open the window into some creepy utility room with quite loud sounds and possibility smb can see you naked. This is the first time I have encountered such an attitude, when I asked to be moved, I was told that such a possibility is only available tomorrow, when I said that it would suit me, I was immediately told that they had mixed things up and it would be better if I moved out altogether and they were ready to return my money for 2 nights, while at the time of this magical offer I had still prepaid 3 nights, and still some hours of the first day. When I said that this did not suit me, without my consent they painted the ceiling in the bathroom, when I returned to the room in the evening, it stank terribly of chemicals and paint. This is the kind of hospitality in Croatia. The water is heated only by solar panels, 3 days out of 4 it was cloudy and therefore I had to wash with practically cold water. To which I also received the answer that this is normal. I have been to more than 50 countries and this is the first time I have encountered such an attitude towards tourists.

Very nice place

Very clean nice air-conditioned have everything in the kitchen that you need for cooking. A nice shower with good pressure. Nice panoramic view

Disappointing for the price we paid.

Owners were really nice and very helpful. Location was good.

Shower was dirty. AC was not big enough to cool down the two rooms. The bedroom was extremely hot and unable to be cooled down even with the AC running all day. The hot water kettle was really dirty. The silverware was also really dirty and old.

The location felt central. Roughly a 20min walk from the hotel, and 20mins from Port Gruz. The area is very peaceful as well.

We had a wonderful time and the view was exceptional, along with the overall customer service!

Location was very convenient for reaching old town and other beaches, restaurants and supermarkets in the area.

The bed was a little uncomfortable and we were confused about how to reach the owner to get more supplies such as a bed sheet and toilet paper. Also the stove in our room did not work, and wouldn’t heat up but there was a nice stove downstairs in the main lobby we ended up using on our last day.

It was lovely and quiet. The place was clean. We were given directions on how to walk into the old town and some tips given.

I'd have liked a light above the mirror. Not a deal breaker but would have been nice to have a bit more light in the bathroom.

The room was clean, has an additional couch which allowed us to spread out and we enjoyed the balcony.

We did not feel very well received, like we were an inconvenience to check in, even though we arrived on time. It was just a basic apartment.

Spacious apartment great views and great location. Provided travel cot for baby perfect room for family, and nice balcony.

The access to apartment is via a very steep hill or lots of stairs, but this seems to be the case everywhere in Dubrovnik. Not easy to get to with pram.
