Well located for the Old Town.

Conveniently located near the old town Pile gate. The property is at the top of 68 steps which should be considered at booking.

Don't go up the wrong set of steps! The Manda steps are number 20, and there is a sign at the pavement.

Lovely Stay

The location was excellent, the view from the terrace was beautiful, the room was clean and comfortable, and Anna and her family were very kind and helpful.

We had a little difficulty finding it because we went up the wrong set of stairs first. Make sure you see the number 20 on the wall before starting up any stairs.

There might be better options

The room was good and the bed was comfortable. It is located close enough to the Old Town, although Google Maps played a trick and made us walk a lot to get to a nearby point on our first morning there.

There was no one to ask questions about. I was not even asked to provide my documents. You need to climb up several steps to get to the room. The view is not nice. The person who communicated with me online before arrival put lots of pressure on the check-in time. Our flight got delayed and I was overly stressed to arrive late. I thought nobody would be there to host us, but fortunately a lady opened the door. There was no need to stress me so much.

Fabulous views of and location near the old town from the beautiful garden terrace which we often used for breakfast and evening drinks. Very comfortable extra large double bed. Good bathroom facilities. Very kind and helpful owner and much appreciated arrival drinks and cake.

Our priority was a large bed and so we understood the space around it would be compromised. We needed to conduct speedy showers before the hot water ran out.

Great place to stay near the city centre

The location was convenient. It was close to all the main attractions, like the City Walls. The place was clean and quiet and we had access to a seating area that overlooks the main part of the city and you can also see the ocean. Our room had an AC, which was great because it can get hot during the day and night. But the best part of our stay was the host --she was an amazing lady! She provided us food and drinks when we arrived and helped us get settled. She also provided fresh towels during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

I wish we had access to the kitchen to cook simple meals. Also, make sure to bring your own toiletries as they only provide hand soap and toilet paper.

The host was very welcoming and attentive, going the extra mile to offer us towels for the beach! The location in relation to the old town was maybe a 10/15 minute walk. We paid extra for a room with an adjoining bathroom which is really unusual- had we not done this we would have had to use the bathroom down the hall which was very small. The room came equipped with air-con, fridge/freezer and hairdryer.

Our total for a 6 night stay was €927 which is cheap in comparison to the other accommodations we had looked at. Although, I do not feel that this price is justified when compared to the beyond basic amenities; the shower water being freezing cold after just a few minutes, the huge staircase just to get to the property (not clearly listed in properties description) and the fridge being very loud. There is no parking on the premises or along the same street. We paid €60 for baggage storage using an external company because the accommodation does not offer it. For €927 I would expect a lot more! We had to check out of the room by 10am or we would be made to pay for an entire extra night :( I have stayed in other accommodations for a lot cheaper with many more benefits to the customer. The price is obviously heightened during the tourism season but the standard of the accommodation does not match that of what they are charging.

Good location, near old town. the beach is 10min away. staf is very friendly. really nice terace with beautiful view to old town. grocery store is 5 min away. realy liked this place

Okay place to stay

Property is in a great location, very close to the old town but not inside. Beautiful little patio overlooking the old town and ocean.

There is no parking and the steps to enter are extremely steep, from both the front and back. Parking nearby cost over 60€ for 24 hours. Host was nice until we checked out and then she completely stopped caring. I asked to leave my suitcase for a few hours after checkout and she didn’t respond to my message. I ran into the mother on my way out and she said I could leave my things on the patio. That’s fine. I put them behind the patio furniture to guard them from thieves and the sun, and when I came back 1.5 hours later, she had moved them from that place into the open sunlight. Very rude and confusing, especially since I came back for the bags at 12pm, when check in for the next guests isn’t until 2pm. Strange behavior, but I suppose she’s nice when you first meet her. Hot water is controlled by a switch outside the bathroom, and if it’s switched off, so is your hot water. Even when it’s on, the tank is tiny and water turns cold fast. Bed is not very comfortable, and we didn’t have real pillows, only big ones for decoration which gave us sore necks.

The terrace and the view are worth the price! Great location, kind hosts, beautiful house.

The view from the terrace is incredible, truly magnificent. We enjoyed spending time there at all times of day. We did have the place all to ourselves, which was really nice. The inside of the house is very clean and cozy. Everything was top notch. Appreciated having the electric kettle and refrigerator. Also our host was very kind. She treated us to a cold beer and lemonade upon arrival. She also let us leave our bags at the house for two additional hours past the check-out time free of charge. When we offered to pay, she told us to use it to treat ourselves to a coffee :). How sweet.

The house, although far above the street, is located on a main boulevard and thoroughfare, so it wasn't as quiet as we had hoped. That said, it was still a wonderful place to stay in Dubrovnik. We enjoyed every minute of it.

Pleasant, quiet, comfortable stay with accommodating owners - hard to beat the price for location

I expected to pay out of the nose for a decent spot in Dubrovnik, and was pleasantly surprised that was not the case at Manda Rooms. It is only a few minutes' walk from the Old Town, in a quiet old well-kept house with a delightful garden, set off from the street. Clean, modern amenities, comfortable, and a kind host who accommodated my much-later-than-expected check-in time.

This is not unique to this property, but Dubrovnik has essentially eliminated street parking for non-residents this close to the old city. Expect to pay upwards of $50 per day if you want/need to have your car in a garage nearby.

Lovely light airy room which was very clean. Host was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with a cold drink and some fruit a lovely touch. Considering the closeness to the main attractions it was a real bargain. Bed was very comfortable. There was a fridge and kettle so we were able to make drinks.
