Wonderful location for carnivale.

We highly recommend the Palace Hotel.

The location is excellent, on the main shops and restaurants right along the coast of the Mediterranean.

Only one staff person working in the roof-top restaurant took a disliking to us for some reason. I didn't it let it spoil the wonderful time we had and how kind and helpful the reception staff were.

Breakfast as sensational. Perfect location across the road from Beachfront promenade. The most glorious sunset bar & restaurant. A magnificent hotel and stay and would highly recommend! Only a short 10 min easy flat walk from train station for day trips to Lucca, Pisa, Florence etc Excellent location

A few 'how to improve comments' did not detract from what was a wonderful stay at a wonderful hotel.

The location of the Palace Hotel is excellent, perfectly positioned mid-way between the main promenade and ideal for a walk to bars, restaurants and beach areas whether going 'north' or 'south' of the hotel. The hotel staff, without exception, were wonderful - in particular all of the team managing breakfast (which incidentally is of a very high standard) -, and were helpful throughout our 6 night stay. The roof top terrace certainly met expectations and was a super place to begin the evening with pre-dinner drinks - the views as the sun goes down were especially memorable.

It is difficult to assess value-for-money given the area is generally a higher cost resort to enjoy - however there were one or two things we thought would have enhanced our stay given the accommodation rate. A pre-arrival e-mail promoting the renovation and enhancement of the hotel meant our expectations were a little higher than that experienced. A couple of examples, our bathroom/shower was a little tired and hadn't been very recently updated and the stairway carpet was worn/dirty and somewhat contrasted with the rest of the hotel areas. The one surprise was the cost of bed/umbrellas at the beach area for which the hotel advised in advance they had 'special rates' with the operator - on return home we found the rates were the same as the club web-site.....

Great hotel for a beach holiday in Viareggio

We stayed in Palace Hotel's apartment, which was perfect for a family of four with one toddler, as it gave us the benefits of the hotel, but also the space and privacy of an apartment. The staff at the hotel were all super friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location could not be better. We would definitely return.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff and excellent location

Breakfast was amazing with every possible choice you could want. The staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location is perfect and the sunsets on the veranda are breathtaking

Lovely stay and staff were great

Breakfast was great, location was amazing, room was very comfortable and spacious with nice bed and bathroom. Staff were lovely.

Didn’t like the fact you had to pay extra to use the beach next to the hotel or had to pay for a beach towel. The air conditioning unit was old and ineffective so we needed to use a fan.

The art deco style was amazing, the reception and breakfast area in particular, it felt very decadent. The roof top terrace was a perfect place to have a sundowner. Location right in the centre of the best part of the promenade.

Great hotel and location

Great location and a lovely room! We booked a sea view room, which was lovely and a good size! There was a good choice at breakfast with a selection of hot and cold food. The rooftop bar is worth a visit, as it has lovely views of the sea! It is right on the front and in a perfect location.

We had a nice 2 night stay in this charming hotel.

In particular the lovely personal welcome from the lady at reception and the spacious rooftop terrace.

Unfortunately we had a couple of issues in the restaurant on our first night, but I will put some of it down to the language barrier (on our part)?

An exceptional hotel for service, comfort, cleanliness, safety and location

This was a wonderful stay, in a clean, comfortable and well located hotel. The staff are exceptional with wonderful hospitality ensuring our every need was met, and beyond. A special mention especially to Stefano on the front desk in this regard, and the lovely ladies in the breakfast room who greeted us with lovely smiles every morning. The food was very tasty and fresh every morning, in a lovely atmosphere. I felt very safe at the hotel travelling only with my daughter, and we felt that we were looked after really well. I do hope we can return again!

Amazing spring week. Loved working in the terrace!

Fourth time for us here. Staff was very kind, with our small greyhound too! Room was spacious, clean and cleaning staff was very flexible and professional. But the terrace is always the best part for me. I loved working with an incredible sea view :) Will surely come back here soon!

During our stay, there was some maintenance work done in the terrace for two days and I would have apprecaited knowing this before. Not a bid deal tho!

More variety in the dinner menu (we were on Half Board Terms The hotel's own facilities on the beach were easily accessible but quite expensive Eur 25 for two deck chairs and a small parasol. The similar facilities for the other seafront hotels beside ours made a large part of the beach feel crowded

it was a lovely vacation within a vacation.

the location to the beach and town. we ate at the restaurant one night and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food . Breakfast was beautiful and the staff was excellent. conscious of the details to make each guest feel cared for.
