Luxurious oasis in beautiful Viareggio

The breakfast was phenomenal and absolutely the best we have ever seen. The choices were vast and beautifully presented. Having Chef Giuseppe offer freshly made ricotta and scampi and shrimps was a bonus indeed. The rooftop restaurant was amazing and romantic. We had dinner and lunch there too. The pool deck was clean and staff were kind and respectful. The views were breathtaking! The bikes were also a lovely surprise. Our room balcony was lovely to retreat to and the bathroom amenities were amazing too. We would definitely come back to this luxurious hotel. Bravo!!

Extortionately expensive for a small rear facing room.

Buffet breakfast was exceptional. Excellent choice and very well staffed. Pool on the roof was an additional bonus but the water was too warm. Good pool side service. Comfortable bed. Bulgari toiletries were lovely.

Room was rather small for the price we paid. Shower door did not close properly so for the first three days we had a soaking wet floor when we used the shower. Some towels were a bit grey and should have been replaced.

Perfect, perfect, perfect. everything made an impression - the location, the beauty of the hotel, the interior and the approach of the staff, but the biggest impression was made by the breakfast

only the shower cabin did not meet the hotel standard - very small with visible damage

Location, hotel interior, food in hotel restaurants, rooftop pool with view.

Personnel at the reception desk, too many people but with no useful help. Moreover, hotel has no policy for missing things that disappeared during the room cleaning, they just apologize and nothing happened afterwards, so you leave the hotel with missing things. Wallet parking has great service.

Pinnacle of a hotel stay experience

Breakfast was world class, staff ALL super friendly, helpful, and professional. Asked if I could play the piano, yes. Asked if we could go to breakfast early, yes. Asked if we could use the spa in the closed hour, yes. Nothing too much trouble - treat like kings. Thank you to all the staff, wonderful experience.

My wife had a drink knocked in her lap by accident by the waiter, and we weren’t offered discount on the bill or anything as a gesture. (They did bring a new drink to be fair). When I asked the hotel paid for the clothes cleaning, and it was no trouble at all. But it would have been nice if we’d been offered a free dessert or discount, any little gesture really.

A Dream Honeymoon

This was a true 5 star experience. We stayed for our honeymoon and felt so special throughout the stay. The facilities, the service, the staff (who know you by name and know your drinks order after a day!), the food were all 5 star. Amazing!

Would recommend without hesitstion

A true 5star experience in every sense. The breakfast was outstanding as were all staff.The pool, although not large was a great place to relax and the service here amongst the best I’ve ever experienced.

We left early on our last day and couldn’t stay for breakfast and we were provided with a pack up ( unsolicited so again great service ) A simple croissant and water/ juice would have sufficed, what was provided was not to our choice. I had to work hard to think of anything to criticise !!

Ok Piccolo and the breakfast was great.

Everything was great except for the restaurant on the roof Matris. Terrible service at dinner. Food was ok.
