In summary, an OK accommodation. Considering all the negative points I wouldn't go back.

*View: great, a good view of table mountain. *Room: Simple, but with a nice bathtub *Location: Close to the beach, with many bars and restaurants and market.

*Curtains: They don't block the light, the room is never dark. *Noise: The doors and windows are not well sealed, the wind shakes them and whistles through the cracks, a lot of noise all the time. *Service: I was locked out of the building because the tag stopped working, and I couldn't get an answer from anyone to solve the problem, I was forced to jump over the wall of the place to avoid sleeping on the street, shameful.

Would highly recommend African Groove! About 10/15 min walk to the centre of camps bay! Really safe location!! Great communication from the owner, the girls that work there are so lovely and attentive! Lovely comfy beds, spacious rooms. Really loved our stay here ☺️

Everything was perfect but one tiny recommendation would be black out blinds or darker curtains for the rooms....

Great location close to the beach and restaurants in Camps Bay

Great location on a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the beach and close to restaurants, cafes, shops in Camps Bay. Loved the colorful room and spacious bathroom.

There was no breakfast offered during our stay, however, you could buy some snacks and use the kitchen.

Perfect Camps Bay stay

African Groove was a great find for us and perfect for our stay. It’s in a quieter area away from the busyness of the main promenade yet still a short walk. The room was fantastic with a comfy bed and a large balcony. The staff were really friendly and helpful, Shebar particularly did lots to make our stay go smoothly. Recommended! 😁

Good value for money stay with some minor attention to detail fixes could be great.

Lovely room with a sea view. Walkable into camps bay and the beach.

Some furniture and fittings could do with an upgrade. Missing shampoo and shower gel and some early season work going on when we visited which I imagine will be completed soon. All in all a great stay and fantastic whirlpool bath and terrace.

We had a lovely big room with balcony. The pool area was very nice.

There were no drinks available on site and we were told the wait would be long for it to be delivered from another property. And yet there was a board advertising drinks. A bit misleading.

Great location & awesome view from the room.

Rooms aren’t very sound proof, could hear other people having conversations & jacuzzis going in adjacent room. The egg chair on balcony was so badly rusted it fell over on its side when sat on. Noticed small details missed like no hand soap at basin, tea/coffee supply had not been topped up & missing cutlery.

Horrible.

The patio had a good view for sunset but the furniture was really old and quite dangerous to sit on.

It’s really old and neglected. The towels were tiny. No soap. The bathroom door did not close. The kitchen was awful. No sharp knife. No kitchen bin. No tea towel. The bedside lamps were a struggle to make work. It was a huge struggle to find staff to communicate with. The say call or message but the don’t answer.

I had an absolutely fantastic holiday at African Groove Camps Bay. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the property. Every corner of the villa was spotless, nicely decorated and well-maintained, which immediately made me feel like a king! The communication with the hosts was seamless and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. They were always quick to respond to any queries and provided excellent recommendations for local activities and dining options. The manager attentiveness, Sofia, truly enhanced my experience. The villa itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere that made it the perfect getaway. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommended!

The location was good within easy reach of the Atlantic beaches and the city bowl. It was reasonably quiet and we felt safe here. Reasonably good value for money in this location.
