It was close to the beach and restaurants and had all facilities that I wanted.

The location was excellent, right in the heart of the main street, 5 minute's walk to all the restaurants and shops. The room was spacious enough for one person and it had all amenities that I needed. The staff came in each day and cleaned and made the bed.

A Lovely place to stay

The stuff were really kind and helpful and even my child bonded well with them. The room was clean and cozy and bathroom spacious. The bed was also very comfortable. The place is safe and there is 24 hour security on site. I stayed in the sandy bay room. I liked that i could do our laundry at the next property which is just across from camps bay village. Great view of the mountains too and very good proximity to everything like the beach, shops and restaurants.

The blinds on the window of my room (sandy bay) didn't fully cover even when closed especially at night thus I had to put a towel at night for extra privacy. Perhaps a new blind would be better that completely covers the window. I also assumed there would be a stove for my room but perhaps I had missed a detail during my booking. So thats something to note but there was a good microwave which I used for most of our quick meals.

Could have been amazing, left feeling VERY disheartened

Location of the property was great and the size and amenities in the room cannot be faulted!

We had some items of clothing go missing from our room during our stay. Brought this up with the property but they “couldn’t locate the missing items”. The items of clothing were folded in the bedroom cupboard one day and then gone the next… We had also communicated with the staff that we did not need housekeeping on a number of occasions but they entered every day anyway. Staff have on record that they only entered on one occasion. We also didn’t receive any fresh towels for the duration of our stay (8 nights) and the bed sheets were changed on the night we were leaving…

Facilities showed AC, but there was ony a ceiling fan. Booking had option to select single beds or king size bed, selected 2x single (we were 2 grown men), but were notified just before arrival that is was impossible and would be a king size. Upon arrival it was a normal double bed.

Village atmosphere studio with great seaviews

Breakfast was not included. But the self-catering studio was fantastic, in a great location, and wonderful seaviews. Really spacious rooms, and comfortable bed. Air-conditioner & ceiling-fan included.

The sun at sunset was not visible from the studio apartment I was allocated. The distance / access to the pool area was not ideal, as you needed to connect to an adjacent property via stairs, walkways, gates, etc.

Very nice hotel, clean with friendly staff in a bustling area.

The room was an incredible size and cleaned every day to a very high standard. The pool was very nice, cleaned every morning and a great size for this type of hotel with plenty of sun beds and not crowded. The photos on booking.com really don't show how good this hotel is. Need to have a look at their website to get a good idea of the place. The staff were very friendly and on arrival gave us loads of help with ideas of what we could do, would have missed out on loads if the front desk hadn't booked a tour for us.

The only issue for us was the noise from the road running to the side of the property up until only about 9pm ish, through the night no real issue. This was because we were in the Ibiza room that was at the side of the property, if you had any of the other rooms I assume this isn't an issue.

Great base to explore the city with/without a car

Central location in Camps Bay. Gated complex with parking (extra charge) across road to cafes, restaurants and Woolworths & Pick N Pay. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment (24BC) One room had view of mountains, the other had partial view of the beachfront & balcony. Bright & spacious living room/kitchen diner that was kitted with food prep essentials including a hospitality tray. We had arranged late checked in and paid for a late check out - security man Jones was so friendly & helpful, lady on Reception was very organised. Short walk to get City Sightseeing bus or tidal pool if you are brave enough to join the early morning locals who gather in robes & warming up with post dip coffees.

Smelt like previous guests were smokers.

The RH bedside light in bedroom 1 of unit 16 was not functional. The mixer tap at the sink had a leak under the swivel arm. Saturday night was windy and there was a door or window slamming all night - could not determine where it was.

The room advertised on booking.com was not the room I was allocated. It was the power room and for a light sleeper like me I didn't get much sleep!! False advertising that lured me into booking with booking.com as opposed to finding an alternative. Next time the Camps Bay Village should be transparent and show FULLY what the customer is getting, not seem to be getting in the likelihood he/ she is lucky!! I have never booked with booking.com and ever been happy with the room, so getting a nice room would have been a shock of my life!!!
