Our stay at South Beach was exceptional from start to finish. The location is unbeatable with the beach, tidal pool and restaurants just steps away. What truly sets this property apart is the personalised service. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your stay special, offering thoughtful touches and tailored recommendations that make you feel completely cared for. The room was spacious and stylish with incredible sea views. We loved the fully equipped kitchenette, daily stocked breakfast items with fresh bread delivered to your door every morning. The hotel’s impressive art collection adds a sophisticated, gallery-like atmosphere, giving the space real character and personality. It’s the perfect combination of prime location, heartfelt hospitality and luxury.

The location is perfect, just across from the beach and only 5 mins walk to restaurants etc. The Studio has everything you could possibly need - I wish we had stayed longer! The rooftop pool terrace and bar is gorgeous with great views (this pool is heated) - the pool on the lower deck is not (I think). Sundowners on the roof is a must! Absolutely loved our stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at South Beach Hotel. The interior is modern and really well designed without feeling cold or overdone - you can tell a lot of thought has gone into every detail. The rooms and bathroom suites are incredibly spacious, with loads of storage, which made settling in so easy. The location is spot on. You’re right next to the beach and just a short walk from all the bars, restaurants and cafés in Camps Bay, so everything is on your doorstep. It still felt calm and relaxing though, which was a big plus. It really is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and has acted as the perfect base for my girlfriend and I to explore everything Cape Town has to offer. I'll certainly be back.

Amazingly wonderful South beach Camps bay hotel.

Amazingly clean, modern and well kept. Incredibly spacious bedroom with sitting area and kitchenette and beautiful bathroom with bathtub and spacious shower. Room overlooked greenery and sea. Staff was kind and helpful and made the stay wonderful. Fresh superior foodstuffs were delivered daily with fresh bread hanging in a bag from the door each morning.

Disappointing

Hotel manager extremely poor. Continuous drilling. The balcony door to my room was left unlocked by housekeeping twice, which given the location (easily accessible from the road) was extremely worrying. I have raised this with hotel management but they haven’t bothered to acknowledge.

Hotel management. Transparency on noise level. My breakfast didn’t arrive on two separate days. No late check out or early check in could be accommodated.

An exceptional beachfront stay in Camps Bay with perfect sunsets, amazing staff and beautiful suites.

South Beach is absolutely stunning. The location in Camps Bay is unbeatable, right on the beachfront with incredible ocean views. Stones throw from the tidal pool! Our suite was spacious, modern, luxurious and spotless with excellent facilities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooftop pool and heated pools are beautiful and the sunset views over the ocean were unforgettable and some of the best in Cape Town. The breakfast setup with daily fresh items in the fridge was perfect. Beautiful artwork around the hotel including some rare pieces you won’t find anywhere else. The staff couldn’t be better, genuinely friendly, helpful and attentive throughout our stay and the owner clearly runs the hotel with care and professionalism. Amazing service, amazing views and amazing comfort. The hotel feels safe, private, luxurious and extremely well-run. A truly high-value property. This is easily one of the best boutique hotels in Cape Town at incredible value.

Lovely staff but very dated and 3 star at best

The staff were really great which made the stay. The location is very good and the views from the apartment are excellent. Camps bay is a great area to base yourself.

Unfortunately it’s nowhere near a five star - I would say 3 star at best - similar to Travelodge rooms in the UK. The rooms were very run down and for the price we were shocked at the finish and cosmetics and how dated everything was. Although we were delivered breakfast every morning, it’s not what we expected to have to make our own breakfast in a five star hotel.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at

South Beach Boutique Hotel is honestly one of those places that just gets everything right. The rooms are big, stylish, and come with all the little touches that make your stay feel easy and comfortable. The balconies with ocean views are unreal. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and they manage that perfect balance of being around when you need something but never hovering. The pools and deck are spotless and the ideal spots to chill with a coffee in the morning or a drink at sunset. Plus, the hotel is close enough to the Camps Bay strip to walk everywhere, but still quiet enough to feel peaceful. Such an awesome place to stay. Easily a 10 out of 10.

A must stay | Camps Bay’s best hotel by far

An absolutely wonderful beachfront hotel. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated, with fresh bread delivered each morning to enjoy on the ocean-facing balcony. I especially loved how close it was to the beach, yet tucked away on a quieter side street away from the main road. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My only two real issues were that some of the art was not for sale and that we couldnt stay longer!

A retreat.

From the moment we’ve entered it was a magic show. Almost like getting into an art gallery with the most iconic art on Earth. What an experience. The rooms are amazing and the view is breathtaking. The staff is excellent and caring, what a lovely experience.

It’s nice place but not 5 star hotel. It should be renovating, sea view doesn’t exactly sea view because in front of the building there is another one. And the main strange thing about the hotel that they don’t serve breakfast - breakfast included means that they provide guests with fresh products and you should cook breakfast on your own.

Great Location with beautiful view

The location of this hotel is excellent and the view are amazing. You can watch the sunset over the ocean and see Lion's head mountain in another side. There are many restaurants and cafes within walking distance and the hotel offers a variety of bicycles for free. It was also convenient to have a private garage. Both the bathroom and the room were spacious and the balcony was great.

The mattress was uneven and too soft, it really needs to be replaced. It said that the room had a laundry and dryer but actually there were only two machines each downstairs, shared with other guests. It was also listed as including breakfast, but they provided only ingredients but we told them that we don't want to cook so they refunded the breakfast fee which was ok.

An easy stay in a great location with excellent staff!

Lovely studio apartment with great views. Staff were so helpful and friendly and the location is excellent for walking to restaurants and the beach. Breakfast is cook your own with the fresh ingredients in the rooms fridge. Fresh bread and pastries delivered daily. The front desk staff always ask if anything needs replenishing. Gluten free bread, fresh avocado and smoked salmon were provided to accommodate my allergies and were very much appreciated! Fruit basket and unlimited bottled water is a nice touch, though larger bottles would reduce the amount plastic waste. Air-conditioner kept the room warm and cosy. Laundry is downstairs near reception and is free to use for guests. Free secure guest parking.

Bed was firm (too firm for us - we like a soft, supportive mattress) and the quilt was way too heavy and hot. However, staff were very helpful in trying to make our sleep more comfortable. Glass walled bathroom lacked privacy and sound proofing from the rest of the room.
