Excruciating Headache

Staff were very friendly, helpful

The room was not soundproof at all! It was a very noisy weekend , due to irritating drum players on the sidewalk infront of the hotel and down stairs restaurants(also very noisy). These activities continued the whole weekend( Saturday and Sunday) causing excruciating headaches . This noisy room was ridiculously expensive for the 2 nights we stayed there. I appreciate Management who tried their best to make the stay as pleasent as possible, but unfortunately we were deprived of peace, silence( sound of the sea we never heard from the room due to the drum noise and tribal dancing on the sidewalk the whole weekend) and the so needed rest .

Street in front is quite loud with performing groups all day long, kind of not great to listen to while sitting outside at all hours. Can also hear the noise through the sliding doors… could be worse but ideally you don’t hear anything at all with the doors slid close. Also weird entrance up the driveway ramp in the back.

The most beautiful luxury boutique in Camps Bay and the place to stay!

Service was 6 star! Restaurant for breakfast made the best omelette I have ever had. Views of the beach for sea side room was incredible.

All was great. Only minus is that the main entrance is up through the mall and a little difficult to navigate the first time.

Great hotel in great location

Spacious hotel / room / bathroom with lovely decor throughout. Comfortable bed, lush towels. The sea-view rooms have a brilliant view overlooking Camps Bay. The hotel staff are all incredibly lovely and helpful. There is free parking on the rooftop.

The hotel is above a little shopping centre which a lot of people flagged as a negative - however it was actually very useful for us. The shopping centre has a fully stocked chemist, laundry service, Woolworths, hairdressers etc., and there are at least five restaurants as well.

The location (right by the beach), the interior decoration (spacious and beautiful with high ceilings), the food (great tasty breakfast with fabulous choices) the staff (warm, welcoming and ever ready to help), the customer service (truly exceptional, not one complaint) , the stunning views; EVERYTHING was on point, 100%, Top Marks through and through. I can’t recommend it enough. Amazing people!!! I try not to stay in a hotel twice but I will come back to The Marly with my family once I have the chance. Truly amazing experience, can’t complain. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for their warm hospitality and never expecting a reward. THANK YOU!!!

Difficulty locating the entrance at first. if your taxi doesn’t know to drive up through the car park to get to the reception on the 3rd floor, you’ll have a hard time getting up with your suitcases. Guessing it’s the way the structure has been built but once you get a hang of the entrances and exits, you’ll be fine.

Great location, lovely room

Great location - right in the middle of all the restaurants but could still hear the waves from my room. Staff was very helpful booking tours for me and making sure I knew where I was going. Felt safe. Ate at the CodFather every night - just down the street and such amazing fresh seafood.

Breakfast was pretty slow service so if you are in a hurry let them know!

Lovely hotel

For a boutique there are lots of great amenities as there are restaurants directly beneath and they do room service. The room was flawlessly clean and comfortable, TV had access to Netflix. Decent Wi-Fi only interrupted by occasional load shedding. Beautiful sea view and quiet rooms. Safe promenade and beach as I was a solo female. Hotel advised to use Uber and this worked well on my stay.

On one occasion the turn down service didn't pull the door fully shut so I returned to find the door very slightly open, luckily no harm done. You do get more amenities in a hotel like they can call drivers etc which is helpful. Hard to fault this hotel I would stay again.

this hotel was extremely overpriced for what it was…they didn’t clean our room until 6pm, missed turn down service and just generally weren’t on the ball like they should have been in this price range of hotel. whilst it looked ok on the surface, the attention to detail and fixtures and fittings weren’t great. if it was half the price we may not have been overly concerned, but if your charging this amount you expect a certain level of service. we were overall really disappointed and wouldn’t stay again.
