That it is small, modern and comfortable and in a great position a stone’s throw from the fabulous beach at Camps Bay.

Beautiful rooms on the sea side of the building, very nicely designed and rather large with a large sitting terrace from which you sea the beach and the ocean. They have a basket in the room with towels, a frisbee and racket ball for the beach. The hotel is very well located just off the beach with very nice views of the ocean from the lobby and the pool side. Gym is simple but rather well equipped at the undeground/parking level, and clean. Breakfast buffet was nice, not overwhelming but not bad, with fresh fruits, homemade granola, charcuterie, gluten free banana bread, …. And a a la carte menu, just by the lobby and the pool side, indoor or outdoor in the shade.

Value for the money is ok but for that price you are expecting 5*, this felt like very good 4*. I parked in front of the hotel on the suggestion of the reception and got a ticket for parking the wrong way. The indoor parking is very tight and a bit messy with hotel equipment everywhere, feels a bit behind the scenes. There was a towel on the floor blocking a service door in front of our room, although the hotel was very clean this felt a bit weird. I asked reception to change my sheets which were stained and had a small rip but in the evening it wasn’t done. The 5pm tea and champagne is a nice thought but the finger food could be more appealing. The pool is ok, but along the terrace overlooking the sreet, just made to refresh, not to swim. Nothing terrible, just an accumulation of little things that don’t make it feel that expensive. Camps Bay was VERY busy when we arrived on a Friday, not your dream natural beach, the next day was super windy and the beach was empty, very beautiful. Rooms are not facing the sea but rather a building, there is a nice seaview from the terrace which has an angle looking at the beach.

Exquisite, bespoke and comfortable stay at The POD.

They made us feel like kings. Their service is just so bespoke and they cater to you needs without making you feel like you pestering them The staff remembers us from our previous stay which makes us feel even more important and loved. Management and Ground staff are such gems. Thank you POD team. TK loves all of you.

Location lovely although Staff very welcoming (apart from the receptionist) Breakfast very good Slippers Welcome information and bar. Although compact the room was functional You have a tower bock and can only see the sea from the side

The a/c did not work the night we stayed. The best are memory foam which is terrible for people with painful back trouble. The bathroom drainage can be heard every time you flush, its not quite and very loud. No sufficient work surface for you belongings.

A fabulous hotel made better by magnificent staff

Fabulous staff, all extremely attentive and super friendly. We don't drink alcohol and they restocked our minibar daily with none alcoholic options which was a really nice touch. The hotel rooms are lovely, beautiful decor, nice and modern but still cosy. Really exceptional dressing gowns, the best we've used in a hotel! Also fantastic breakfast with a buffet and some great menu items. On a few nights the team collected pizza from the local pizza place and served it up for us in our room - what an amazing service. 😊 Highly recommend!

Shower drained a little bit slowly, not really an issue at all just general feedback for the staff. Personally would not have another massage there - we found the experience to be a little rushed and the masseuse was not in keeping with the standard of the rest of the staff.

The perfect welcome to South Africa!

The POD Camps Bay Hotel was our very first stop on our very first trip to South Africa — and it was an instant hit. Small and cozy, modern yet warm, with (very) spacious rooms offering spectacular sea views and excellent beds... The valet service was also very convenient for safely parking our rental car during your stay, although the hotel’s location is perfect for exploring everything in Camps Bay (beach, restaurants) on foot. (By the way, Cape Town is only about a 15-minute drive away.) A delicious breakfast topped it all off, but what really stood out — and as we would later discover, this is typical for South Africa — was the staff! Exceptionally friendly, genuinely interested in you and your travel plans, always ready with tips, talkative yet discreet. We truly loved that! Janet, Sean, and all the others in the team: thank you so much for the warm welcome and the wonderful stay! We’re so glad you were our very first introduction to your beautiful country. We’ll definitely be back with the kids!

The only downside was that we could only stay for two nights, as we had to continue our road trip… :-)

The Perfect Hotel in Camps Bay

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the warmest welcome from the front desk. (Devald we think the name was). The room was super clean. And had everything we needed. The breakfast options we so good. Completely covered all needs. The waiting staff were just amazing. Concy, Rennia and Martha, were all incredible, especially Concy as she served us most mornings and was just so welcoming and provided us with anything we needed as well as providing great recommendations of things to do. A real credit to the hotel. The turndown of the rooms at night was a lovely touch too. The location is right on Camps Bay beach and is just perfect. We honestly can't fault this hotel and can't wait to stay here again.

My stay at POD Camps Bay was absolutely exceptional! The hotel has a perfect location right by Camps Bay Beach, offering breathtaking views, especially during sunset. The rooms are modern, stylish, spotless, and designed with every detail in mind to provide both comfort and luxury. The service was outstanding – the staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and always ready to go above and beyond with a genuine smile. Breakfast was delicious and varied, served with a stunning view that made the mornings unforgettable. What I loved most is how the hotel combines peace and privacy with being just steps away from the vibrant restaurants and caf é s along the beach. Everything about POD reflects elegance and top-class hospitality. In short: POD Camps Bay is the perfect choice for anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and breathtaking scenery in Cape Town. A little pod of perfection

When we arrived at POD we were greeted with ‘welcome home’ and boy oh boy did the team make us feel like it was home. We loved absolutely everything about our stay at POD. Dewald showed us to our spacious and beautifully de appointed room. The attention to detail was impeccable from lemon and honey for your drinks, complimentary snacks, beautiful toiletries and bathrobes and fully equipped beach bag. The breakfasts were delicious and the beautiful Janet made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had and was a true delight in keeping us entertained. Sean and Congy provided exceptional friendly service. It was one of our favourite stays. The hotel is in easy walking distance of fabulous cafes, bars and restaurants. The scenery is spectacular. This was our first visit, but hopefully not our last.

Was booked for 4 days at this place of heaven. Enjoy every moment. This is the epitome of a home away from home. The staff are i have traveled around the world, but the kind of service you get here is beautiful, from waiters, reception (sean and others), housekeeping to maintenance staff. My room view was remarkable. The rooms are suited for a romantic gateway.

Exceptional service, perfect location, and a truly welcoming stay.

We had such a warm welcome — they even surprised me with a cake and chocolates for my birthday, which I truly appreciated. They offer valet parking, so they take care of parking your car and bringing it back to you. Every request or question was handled quickly and with genuine care. For example, one night we were hungry and noticed their kitchen was closed, so we asked about ordering pizza. Instead, they provided us with pizza themselves. When I asked about a microwave, they simply offered to heat my food for me. The service exceeded expectations — the staff always greeted us warmly, fulfilled every request before we even had to ask, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The cleaners were also kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed, even bringing water and fresh towels before ending their shift. The location is perfect — just across the street from the beach, great for swimming or relaxing, and surrounded by restaurants and cafés. The only thing that didn’t meet our expectations was the pool. We booked the most expensive room on Booking.com with a pool, but the pool was on the ground floor facing the street with no privacy, and no sea view. As Muslims, this wasn’t ideal for us. However, for many guests, this may not be an issue. Overall, the hotel is amazing, and the service is truly outstanding.

Good location but room ok

Super friendly staff. Really helpful. Breakfast was good and the location was nearby the camps bay beach and lots of restaurants walking distance. It is a short drive to lots locations as well.

The room itself was a disappointment for our expectations and the price of it. The private pool had no privacy at all as it was facing the street and next to the hotel entrance. There isn’t view as well as we were facing a building. The room was also OK but not for the price of it.
