Lower Crankan Farm

The location was tranquil and very relaxing. The shepherd's hut was cozy and very well appointed. Our hosts very helpful and charming. Can't wait to return!

Leaving!

Although we were only a short drive from the centre of Penzance it felt like we were a world away. It was so tranquil and beautiful.

Nothing!

Phew, where do I start. The place is EXCEPTIONAL, the farm on which the shepherd's hut stands is something out of a book, honestly. The hut itself was clean, well equipped, the water was hot, the bed comfortable, and the skylight was a charming bonus. There is a fire pit (wood is provided), peace and quiet, few friendly animals, and a large outdoor area for guest's disposal. But the most importantly, our lovely hosts Geoff and Phil were impeccable. To call them attentive is an understatement. We've had a series of unfortunate events during our trip, which included a burnt clutch in our car, and Geoff took initiative and right before his own holiday, dedicated his private time to help us sort everything out, called local garages on our behalf, negotiated with AA, and provided emotional support. None of that was expected from him, and it meant everything to us. Geoff saved our first wedding anniversary trip, and we returned home skinned, but with a brand new clutch, in our own car, on time, and with the sense of gratitude larger than life. We are overwhelmed by their kindness, and while I do not wish anyone had this sort of adventure while they are on holiday, it does show clearly that you'll be in good hands if you decide to stay with them. P.S. Have I mentioned our hosts left us a bottle of fizz for our anniversary as soon as they've heard about it? 🥹

That we've caused mayhem during our stay! ❤️‍🩹
