Fun family stay and handy for the Scilly Ferry

We stayed in the bell tents which were very well/thoughtfully equipped. Comfortable futons, an effective woodburner - made for a cosy and novelty stay. Clean toilet block nearby making it easy with children.

Pleasantly surprising with it's price, neatness and facilities.

The room was very clean and very well maintained. I thought it is a proper hotel room with ensuite but nevertheless we liked the setup. Eddie, who received us is very helpful, polite and gave good info of the area around. They hand over an attractions and map sheet of the area which is very handy and Eddie as well as the Jamila (I guess I remember her name right) were so kind and put on markings for us to visit all the attractions effectively and efficiently in Cornwall.

In the booking.com I didn't get the info or realize that it was a hostel kind of setup with no ensuite. I believed it is a typical hotel room. That was the only surprise as it has bunk beds. Also, one aspect I didn't like was the renting of the towels which probably is the case for these kind of hostel setup and price in this area.

Lovely but not central

Staff were great and there is a restaurant/bar which is handy

The location is out of the centre, including a walk/cycle through a dark country lane. I didn't feel safe going back there after dark. It might be fine if you are driving. But I wanted to be able to go out on the centre for dinner/a drink and then go back. My fault for assuming it'd be fine because YHA places are generally in good locations. Some people will like the location I'm sure, but definitely worth checking it out.

All was good. The, only thing I struggled with, was lack of towel and swimming costume facilities.

I only had one evening meal and the staff looked after me as I'm g/f. I didn't eat at the cafe again as I looked after myself.

Highly recommended for affordable stay

We travelled with a group of friends and booked several rooms. Our room was big and comfortable, and although we didn't have a bathroom in our room, I've never had to wait in line to get into the toilet or for a shower. This hostel had everything for a comfortable and affordable stay, and the staff was kind and very helpful.

It was a bit stuffy in the room, but the windows didn't open past a certain point (for security reasons). Thankfully, we were provided with a big electric fan, which made the situation better.

Lovely hostel surrounded by nature. People are lovely and happy to help! Communal areas were clean as well as showers. ☺️parking is free.

Other guests - someone snatched my sister's pastries and replaced them with some cheap naan bread in the kitchen. I am truly hoping someone will eat this person's dinner and they will get what they deserve 🤬

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the start. The property is very hygienic, clean, and well-maintained. The unlimited breakfast – it’s delicious and a real time-saver if you’re in the middle of a trip. The stay is very affordable, and the fully equipped kitchen and dining area are perfect for self-catering.

Excellent option for a group stay.

Location was nice and quiet, everything was clean and the staff was amazing and so very helpful (we stayed there as a group of 8, had a last minute change and they did everything to accomodate us). I honestly didn't expect this level of comfort for that price and I can't recommend this hostel enough.

It was a bit stuffy in the room and the windows couldn't be fully opened, but we were provided with a big fan, so finally it was all good.

Excellent cheap accommodation, highly recommend the tents as a fun experience!

Super helpful and friendly staff, the tents were well equipped and a lot cosier than expected! Outdoor showers and bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
