We had a warm welcome from the guy looking after reception. He was very kind, helpful and had some great recommendations. Due to the bad weather at the time there was a power outage for an hour but there was great communication from the staff and they took care of it and made sure it came back on. They had great emergency lights in each room that were bright enough for you to still see anyway. The dorms were very spacious and the bedding was clean snd comfortable. I was really impressed with how clean the shared bathroom and kitchen was as well. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook a decent meal. Great size space too.

Great value. Good facilities
Electrical problem caused my room lights to go on at 7 am and then the bathrooms had no working lights and I had to shower by torchlight!

All good, low cost and cosy stay.
Only thing I didn't like was the noisy kitchen fan but that is my issue as am sound sensitive and have to block sounds that upset the nervous system via ear plugs and head phones, also limit exposure before anxiety strikes.
It isn't a complaint though. All very good.

The stay was very budget-friendly, clean, and the room for three was extremely spacious—one of the largest rooms we’ve had compared to other YHA stays. The room and washrooms (shared) were clean.
The location is pleasant and peaceful, though slightly secluded, with St Ives just a 25-minute drive away, making the stay well worth the price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations for nearby places to visit.
St Michael’s Mount is also quite close and definitely worth a visit—just be sure to check the low tide timings in advance, as the island closes 30 minutes before the stated time.
We enjoyed cooking in the shared kitchen, and the soups and meals at the restaurant were delicious and perfect for a cold day.
With free parking and a calm atmosphere, this is a must-visit for anyone looking for an affordable and peaceful stay.

We stayed in the bell tents which were very well/thoughtfully equipped. Comfortable futons, an effective woodburner - made for a cosy and novelty stay.
Clean toilet block nearby making it easy with children.

The room was very clean and very well maintained. I thought it is a proper hotel room with ensuite but nevertheless we liked the setup. Eddie, who received us is very helpful, polite and gave good info of the area around. They hand over an attractions and map sheet of the area which is very handy and Eddie as well as the Jamila (I guess I remember her name right) were so kind and put on markings for us to visit all the attractions effectively and efficiently in Cornwall.
In the booking.com I didn't get the info or realize that it was a hostel kind of setup with no ensuite. I believed it is a typical hotel room. That was the only surprise as it has bunk beds. Also, one aspect I didn't like was the renting of the towels which probably is the case for these kind of hostel setup and price in this area.

Staff were great and there is a restaurant/bar which is handy
The location is out of the centre, including a walk/cycle through a dark country lane. I didn't feel safe going back there after dark.
It might be fine if you are driving. But I wanted to be able to go out on the centre for dinner/a drink and then go back. My fault for assuming it'd be fine because YHA places are generally in good locations.
Some people will like the location I'm sure, but definitely worth checking it out.

I only had one evening meal and the staff looked after me as I'm g/f. I didn't eat at the cafe again as I looked after myself.
Everything was fine.

We travelled with a group of friends and booked several rooms. Our room was big and comfortable, and although we didn't have a bathroom in our room, I've never had to wait in line to get into the toilet or for a shower. This hostel had everything for a comfortable and affordable stay, and the staff was kind and very helpful.
It was a bit stuffy in the room, but the windows didn't open past a certain point (for security reasons). Thankfully, we were provided with a big electric fan, which made the situation better.

It was clean and comfortable.
There was a lot of people in my room and the air was not very fresh in the room.
People need a light and snoring policy 😂

Lovely hostel surrounded by nature. People are lovely and happy to help! Communal areas were clean as well as showers. ☺️parking is free.
Other guests - someone snatched my sister's pastries and replaced them with some cheap naan bread in the kitchen. I am truly hoping someone will eat this person's dinner and they will get what they deserve 🤬

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the start. The property is very hygienic, clean, and well-maintained.
The unlimited breakfast – it’s delicious and a real time-saver if you’re in the middle of a trip. The stay is very affordable, and the fully equipped kitchen and dining area are perfect for self-catering.

Location was nice and quiet, everything was clean and the staff was amazing and so very helpful (we stayed there as a group of 8, had a last minute change and they did everything to accomodate us). I honestly didn't expect this level of comfort for that price and I can't recommend this hostel enough.
It was a bit stuffy in the room and the windows couldn't be fully opened, but we were provided with a big fan, so finally it was all good.

I liked the people I met
I liked the breakfast and the breakfast room was lovely
I liked the showers and toilets
I would have preferred a curtain around my bed for privacy when reading with the light on as not to disturb others

Great breakfast / bar and relaxation area in the lounge.
It would’ve been great to have a laundry / drying room for hiking, cycling and beach clothes.

The mattress is very comfortable and the bed is clean. The lighting is well thought out
Such premises require constant wet cleaning, therefore carpet in the room spoils the smell, makes breathing difficult.

Extremely clean. Delicious food. Very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. I met some wonderful and interesting fellow travelers.
Not so easy to navigate on foot. Maps on my phone directed me through a wood leading into a private house. Rather awkward, but at least I know for next time.

Super helpful and friendly staff, the tents were well equipped and a lot cosier than expected!
Outdoor showers and bathrooms were clean and well maintained.
Food prices were too high, we didn’t eat there in the end.
