Nice management. We stayed two nights second room was much nicer. We were able to walk many places though it was a lot of walking.

We always stay at The Stanley, when travelling to the Isles of Scilly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Adequate parking outside if you’re lucky to get a spot!

Sad to see that they no longer serve breakfast here and that the room rate doesn’t reflect this, having stayed at the same price point. The bathrooms could do with a deep clean.

Wonderful spot right in the waterfront.

Fabulous location and lucky parking spot right out the front. Beds were comfy. Welcoming manager. Great to have bicycle parking/charging provided.

We were promised an easier access to rooms accessed via a steep staircase due to knee problems but were not allowed access. Room a bit hot right upstairs under the roof. A fan would have been good.

We booked bed and breakfast but there was no breakfast . Also as much as I booked a small bedroom it was in an attic so lots of head bumping . No real complaints though if we had been told before hand .

Nothing to dislike We had a day sack so no luggage. To access some rooms there is narrow stairway that I didn’t think we would have got a large suitcase through. The hotel owners were lovely and offered to help with our baggage if needs had been which was appreciated.

I had a good nights sleep in the small double room, on the top floor. Clean room and comfy bed. Shower was good as well.

Avoid Room 7 unless you’re a mountain goat with no luggage and built like a hobbit

Good location.

We have stayed at the Stanley before so were prepared for the room to be small but for a one night stay that’s ok. BUT room 7 is not suitable for a couple. The narrow stairs to reach this room are impossible to negotiate with luggage (They let us leave by the fire escape!) and once inside the room there is not enough space for two people to exist comfortably. I have tried to take photos but it’s so small you can’t capture it. I felt claustrophobic as the ceiling beam was so close to my face when I got into bed.

A really cosy stay in the heart of Penzance with really nice staff. with beautiful

The single room was really sunny and cute and had a sloping roof with a velux window looking onto the the sea. The accommodation was bright, clean and really comfortable, the shower was great and the WiFi functioned seamlessly. Really well-located for both town and beach. Lovely staff.

Placement good for the ferry to the Scilly Isles

Parking was not easy and often taken by others. A small lorry took up a lot of space. Shower ran intermittently hot and cold. Spoke to a man who took us to our room but generally the distancing policy for “safety reasons” made you feel totally unimportant and detached. Quite off putting with the collie dog running around in circles in the courtyard and then trying to bite the luggage!

Great location

The location is perfect for the Isles of Scilly boat. We had room 3a which has a beautiful sea view. The room was very clean and had everything you need.

The headboard was very uncomfortable as it is metal ! There is no breakfast now, although I had received a phone call explaining that. We drove from Lancashire and arrived 30 mins before the accepted check in time. We were allowed in but were told we were early. Not easy over such distance !!

Our stay was within room 10. Bright, clean with ample space for 3 of us. Comfy beds. Ample hot water and good pressure from the shower within the bathroom. Excellent location within walking distance of all that Penzance has to offer. Great view of the bay to top it off.

No breakfast now available, just as well as we've stayed previously in a better room and the breakfasts were awful. The old man (owner) said they'd stopped doing them as folk weren't eating them and they were throwing wasted food to the seagulls!!!

pokey attic room with 4 foot bed, you had to pull away from wall to get into. good job my husband is 5'8" as any taller and you wouldn't be able to stand. Couldn't find towels until last thing. Hidden under eaves.

Great location

Great location, close to ferry terminal and short walk to shops and restaurants. Stayed a couple of nights either side of a trip to Scilly Isles. Very clean and bed was comfortable. Super helpful and accommodating people.
