The room was tiny so it was a bit difficult to have two suitcases in it. Maybe shelves instead of the closet would be more workable for couples. The bathroom was the smallest but most functional I've ever had. Alan was really helpful with the map to find the best places about and tide table for visiting St Michaels Mount. Would definitely recommend it.

Easy check in and checkout. Room was ideal for me and my 7 year old for a couple of nights. Not too far walk from the train station, about 15 minutes. Parking quite tricky but possible if you keep going round until you find a space. The owner’s instructions were very clear, we didn’t even meet them over the two days but got in and out fine.

I wouldn’t have booked if I had known breakfast isn’t served here. Better places including breakfast at a lower price than Chiverton house Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend They don’t respond to emails either.

The top floor room I had was just perfect for my 2 night stay. It was spotlessly clean, comfy bed, lovely linens and soft towels. A great place to come home to after a day of sightseeing. The house is very quiet (apart from the Seagulls lol!) and you’ll receive a very warm welcome. It’s close to the seafront and a 15 minute walk from the railway and bus station. Tea and Coffee provided and I was thrilled to find a Gideon in the nightstand.

We had a very nice experience at Chiverton. The host is really good. The stay is 15 mins stay from the centre, bus and train station. We can reach thr by walking alongside the beach. Worth for the money with all the essential facilities including a small fidge. Definitely visiting again...

Nice and clean, even though this is listed as a bed & breakfast please be aware no breakfast is included. Tea making facilities are included but would have been nice if water made available to make tea or coffee, you may need to bring your own. The road is not busy and just a turning away from the beach. Very clean, safe, well furnished with very comfortable beds and modern en-suite, helpful patron, train and bus stations are pleasant walk (about 1 mile). Well situated for tennis courts, arcade, lido and outdoor theatre/music in the park.Tea/coffee making facilities are in the room but breakfast is not available (reflected in the price); however continental style breakfast items can be purchased at nearby supermarkets (need to take some plastic knives). Our room was in the attic with four flights of stairs; therefore if you have mobility concerns need to check the situation of your room. We found on-street parking nearby to be a challenge and it would have been impossible late in the day. This was a bank holiday weekend so perhaps was an exception.

Disappointing. After a long, tiring trip, we arrived at Chiverton to find no one there and door locked. A note on the door had a phone number to ring but not the international code. A kind neighbour lent us her phone. Had to park 5 blocks away. Room and shower stall were very small and - would NOT recommend for couples.

Alan was temporarily running solo with his son due to family commitments, but the stay was seamless. Decent room, if on the small side. Good breakfast and a free map with a lot of information on was given on check in.

Fantastic place. The room was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable. It was a quiet neighborhood. The parking is on-street only, but easily found at the end of the road. The breakfast was delicious and quite varied. It was definitely good value for money. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering insightful advice and good places to eat. I would stay here again.
