Breakfast was really good for the both mornings I was there with a good choice. The host was happy and very helpful. The location was in a great location for town, bus and train station.

The one thing that could have been better was the electric shower as it was cold or too hot to get under.

Comfortable ensuite room at back at top of house was good

We arrived one hour earlier than planned but this was not a problem. Had to park in a pay and display carpark but it was only a 5 minute walk away so good location. Hot water Breakfast was good

We had a family room and it was in two parts. The one with the double bed in was a little bit crammed in. Bathroom was very small so was a struggle getting into shower. Bath towels were small.

A base in Penzance

As l came by train it was perfectly located. It was everything l wanted, quiet, clean, comfortable and the breakfast was excellent served by Rob and Belinda who were really pleasant. I would have no hesitation in booking again if I'm down in Penzance in the future. I think I've covered everything.

I chose it because of location as I was only staying in the town for a day and a night. It was perfect for the station, bus station and sea front. I rang in advance to ask if they could store our luggage in advance of checking in? The lady of the house was brilliant and agreed and also gave us our room key . This was at 7.30 in the morning?

My only fault if any but is very small is that the toilet was facing a wall in the bathroom, about a foot away. I am a tall person and have Rheumatoid arthritis and to bend down in such a confined space was a little difficult. I managed however and as I say it was a small fault if any.

Very well located just behind the railway station. We were made to feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

The room overlooked a busy road so we needed to keep the windows closed overnight but there was a ceiling fan in the room that meant it didn’t get too stuffy

Very much enjoyed our stay.

Stayed the night before our departure to the Scillies and the night of our return - Very much enjoyed our stay both times - ideally located for the railway station and the quay, very clean, lovely friendly hosts and superb breakfasts - No complaints at all 🙂

The location is right beside the train and bus station so the accessibility was great . The hospitality of Rob & Belinda was excellent. the rooms were very clean and cozy. The toiletries provided was really of good quality . The breakfast served very quickly and was tasty . the overall property was really excellent .

The commode of room 3 was a little wobbling and I'm sure the owner would fix it soon .

They became like family, nothing was too much for them. Their priority was the guest.

Location is central to buses, trains, taxis and all amenities including beaches and shopping . Breakfast was exceptional and always servred with a smile and when asked suggestions for travel or where to go. Both Rob and Linda took great care of me when I stayed for 3 weeks and made me feel welcome, even putting themselves out when I needed to leave my bags after check out. I am eternally greatful to them for making this trip eventful and I will certainly miss them.

A very good choice

Carson House is very well situated for the railway station. The staff were very welcoming too. The room was clean and functional. The timing of breakfast was adjusted to suit our needs, and breakfast itself was very tasty with plenty of choice.

Everything the hosts provided was excellent. Friendly service, lovely room, terrific breakfast, very good value. The trade-off is location. Very close to the train and access to all things to do made it super convenient. But the major road out front made it less cozy. There’s a pub next door but when they close it goes quiet.

Highly recommended, Searching for somewhere to stay in Penzance, if available book the Carnson

A very,very, short distance from Penzance railway station. The Bus station is equally close. Arriving late, the instructions to gain access to to Guest house and room were precise and easy to follow. The premises are spotlessly clean, in good repair, and decoration. Although on a main road out of Penzance, My room wasn't adversely affected by traffic noise, or the Pub next door. Room 3 is lovely and bright, with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was included in the rate, and is cooked to order, by the owner / host Rob. I did say to Rob, if this had been the TV show, Four in a Bed, it would be a Ten (10) They do have a few house rules, which when explained to the guest, are more than reasonable, and help to keep the Carnson running efficiently.

Nothing, it does exactly what it says on the tin. A little gem, reasonably priced, a cracking breakfast. Run by some very nice Hosts
