Location is awesome if you are doing a fishing charter .

Could of been a bit cleaner

very nice comfy bed to relax after a long day. Also the bedroom was really stunning and the dining room was cute to sit down and kitchen was decent.

Location is incredible, very convenient and short walk from train station.

The listing was not clear that the room had a shared bathroom with the other three rooms in the house.

Central for trains, bus, shops, bars, restaurants, harbour.

One bathroom/toilet for the whole house so if one guest has a bath, everyone else has to wait for the toilet. Thin walls, I could hear people talking.

Convenient location for station and harbour.

I arrived at the cottage shortly before 10pm. There was no external signage to indicate that I was at the right place (Google indicates that the sign shown in one of the photos hasn't been there since 2023). The building was unlit and there was no answer when I knocked on the door, despite the listing saying there were reception staff. Externally the building was in poor condition so I was unsure if I was in the right place. I went across the road to the Longship where the staff confirmed I had been at the right place. I remembered that I had made my booking via my work laptop which I fortunately had with me, so I checked my emails for any communications and found an email from the owner that had been sent that afternoon (whilst I was travelling) explaining that I needed to enter a combination code to enter the building and another to enter my room. The interior of the cottage was unwelcoming, and in my room I found peeling wallpaper, dirty marks on the wall, and the wardrobe was missing a door handle, and there was nothing in the room to make me feel welcome. The bath in the shared bathroom "wasn't big enough to drown a mouse". Having expected a staffed, smart and well-equipped guest house/B&B, I found a tatty, unstaffed building more akin to a down-at-heel student bedsit. £90 for a night was excessive, I would have said given the condition of the property and the lack of staff £50 would have been nearer the mark (and even that would be generous).

Penzance Cottage is a quaint, clean accommodation just 2 minutes walk from the railway station and harbour. A cosy place to stay if you need a base to explore southern Cornwall. Perfect location for all of Penzance’s amenities and attractions. Easy access to the premises and room via a keypad which is so convenient for travellers who arrive after business hours. Great room in an old stone cottage. Comfy bed, plus fantastic kitchen and dining areas. Spotless bathroom with lovely hot shower. Love it!

Nothing didn't stay as the room was damp, smelly and unfit for people, snail trails on the carpet, ripped damp wallpaper stuck on with sticky tape!, damp on the ceiling mouldy horrible pit of a place

All of the above, requested immediate refund and left.

Location was spot on

Couldn't turn the heating on by the kitchen but had to do on the combo in the bathroom. Tried to call and message but got no reply. Says tea and coffee but nothing there

Was perfect for what we needed. Clean and accessible, easy instructions, warm and opposite a lovely little pub called lamp and whistle!

In the advertisement there were two rooms. In the cheaper one, it was indicated “shared bathroom”. In the most expensive, no indication about shared bathroom. Thus, we decided to pay more, But to have our own bathroom.

The informacion was completely TRICKY. We saw the room. We were looking for the bathroom & we didn’t find it. In summary, WE LEFT 3 minutes later without unpacking our luggage.

Lovely cottage opposite the train station which was next to the car park. We were on the scillonian in the morning so perfect location. Very clean..Easy to book. Keycode for cottage sent immediately. Highly recommend.. Will definitely use again. 👍
