The Swordfish Inn

We have stayed at the Swordfish Inn previously and would definitely stay again. The location is great for getting around Newlyn, Penzance, Mousehole and the surrounding area. Bus stops being very close by. We found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Tracey in particular was helpful, with a great knowledge of the area and eager to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you

If I’m honest I think the rooms could now be updated a little as some parts looked a little tired. However the rooms were very clean and tidy.

Location is great, with everything on your doorstep. Towels and bedding were great, and it was very clean. We appreciated having a packed lunch for breakfast, as we were checking out early to go to the Scillies. A continental breakfast that we could have had early in our room would have been better.

There is only one route out of the rooms, in case of an emergency, and if that was blocked it would have worried us.

It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The shower was lovely and the pillows were great. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff incredibly helpful. It is a room in a pub so if you need absolute silence to sleep then this is not for you. However having lived next to a pub we found this one incredibly quiet. Can’t wait to come back again.

The room was well equipped and comfortable.

When booking last year we checked if a breakfast at 7 a.m.would be available. The Swordfish confirmed verbally and in writing that it would be fine. On arrival we tried to arrange a time for breakfast and were told Chef doesn't arrive until 7:30. We were not offered any alternative and thus went without any breakfast.
