Quick, painless. Staff was very friendly. The lack of a tub was heartbreaking

Quick and easy access from freeway. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though had a couple issues.

Room I originally booked smelled really bad like backed up plumbing. This situation was incredibly unfortunate, as I'd gotten a room with a tub on purpose to recover from a run. Staff quickly moved us into another room... that had a shower. I didn't complain at the time as we just wanted to crash. I also thought it wouldn't be a problem as I could use the hot tub, but this facility didn't have one. I was very, very irritated by that point. Additionally, the room was laid out really weird. The bathroom didn't have a closing door. It was more of a pocket door, but outside the doorframe. Kind of strange. Shower worked well, but wasn't exactly as desirable as a tub would have been.

I enjoy staying here every time I travel to Carlsbad

I choose to stay at Staybridge almost every time I travel to Carlsbad because of its comfortable rooms with sofa, desk, and basic kitchen. If you want to cook, there's a Sprouts and Trader Joe's within walking distance, and if you don't: many restaurants as well. The breakfast is very good and the staff always friendly.

HATED IT, ROACH INFESTED

I didn’t like anything about the property when I arrived the parking lot was being worked on so we had to enter through holiday inn, Also the room was very dirty and had roaches I immediately packed all our things and left in the middle of the night

The staff, the young lady who worked overnight there couldn’t accommodate me in any way since we had a roach in our room. She just told me reach out to the management team.

Enjoyable but wrong room

I liked the pool area my Room wasn’t the Room in the photo that I picked but I traveled from Alaska so I just accepted it the Room I chose at the Rate I was charged was supposed to be a 2 room suite that’s shat it said on the web site but will I stay there again not for the price and the room I was put in but it was an enjoyable stay

A good price for a good hotel

The suite was completely equipped with everything we needed. The patio and recreation areas are large and shared with the adjoining Holiday Inn. The area is quiet in spite of the nearby business airport.

The size of the King suite is on the small side. It includes a lot, but there is not a lot of open space. There were a lot of choices for breakfast, but I was disappointed in the quality, the "fresh baked" goods were hard and dry.

The first day there were cockroach in the bathroom then again the next day. i woke up to a cockroach crawling on my arm while asleep and that just did it for us! I feel like the room need a good cleaning because there were also small spiders on the floor trim wich means that the rooms dont het cleaned well at all.

stayed for 3 nights.

I just think that housekeeping should wipe down the doors. When people leave, my doors were a little dirty. But I cleaned them and then I saw a couple of spiders. They did have a paper letting people know that bugs are in season and they do spray, but it still make me a little uncomfortable. The pool and the breakfast was nice and it's nice that they serve you a snack, especially when you pay so much for the room's.

We had a wonderful stay and were extremely comfortable.

There was a variety of food. Really appreciate the coffee being available throughout the day. Use of laundry facilities free. Great restaurants nearby. Hotel grounds are lovely!

Some gluten free options would be nice. Consistency with meat dish being served and also not all fruit was fresh.

The 🐜 ants ate our dinner and desert. Infestation of 🐜 Ants. Took over the room.

The black dots on the pictures are ants that I was killing in the room. The location was great close to the beach. Restaurants weren't too far, but don't order your food to bring back insects like ants will attack your meal. And I Fast during the day. I was so hungry.

I didn't like the fact that when I went to place my dinner in the room on the counter in the kitchen area I had 🐜 INSECTS visitors eating my wife and I dinner. My wife and I went for an evening walk after coming from a family gathering. When we got in the shower there were dead ants 🐜 in the shower. Looked of the floor it was 🐜 ants crowling on the towels we lined the floor with. And when I went to heat the dinner up so we could have a romantic evening, I found 🐜 ants swarming in our food and all over the counter tops. The hotel was booked and we didn't get NO HELP and been getting the run around. Being compensated for the food was fine. But being 150 miles from home and disabled was going to be hard to do. So we stayed because there was no night manager. Sad. Manager name was Todd and he was suppose to meet with me at noon and never showed. Pretty sure he was giving a heads up to avoid me and my wife. Very unprofessional. And why is there not a manager there at night. I had the front desk call. He was not on the premises nor across the street at there other hotel. I need answers and booking seems to not be to helpful. That is not an 8.7 stay. Beware. Don't leave no food on the stove or in microwave.

Fairs stay. Not for more than one night, really. Just a fairly good bed and a fairly clean bathroom.

The breakfast is just terrible. Not even a decent coffee. Thank goodness they had bananas and some fresh fruits, because it was the only thing we could eat.

We loved the free breakfast, free laundry facilities, fitness center, and the social evening food. That was such a pleasant surprise!

Peaceful and relaxing time as a couple.

Location and comfort. Staff always treats me like royalty.

We stayed in the third floor, and there was too much noise. People were closing doors too hard constantly. I believe doors automatically slam anyway, but it was too loud. Also there was a child that cried most of the night. It must of been couple doors down. For myself, and my partner it was really hard to sleep and relax. We were constantly being startled by the doors slamming. The child well, not his fault either. However, for us as a couple, we just wanted to relax and have some peaceful sleep away from our family. We did not get that unfortunately. Also for the price, honestly it was not worth it. As a member, I just feel very disappointed. It was not our day :( Other than, I love staying with you guys.

Would never stay there again staff was unprofessional and rude

Location was easy to get too, lots of restaurants and stores close by.

Right when we got to our room after being there for around 10 minutes a maintenance man walked right into our room. Without knocking he let himself right in. He said he was sent by the front desk to fix the tv and didn’t t know we are in the room yet. This is obviously very upsetting and unprofessional. While having breakfast Sunday morning I was waiting in line to make a waffle. While I was waiting in line the women came out and took away the waffle making stuff. I explained to her I was waiting in line and she said breakfast was over at 10am. It was 9:56 and then she proceeded to take away the fruit, butter and eggs. I went to look at the sign and confirmed breakfast was over at 10:30. I showed her the sign and she said she was confused because she works across at the other hotel and the breakfast there ends at 10am.
