I love the staff but disappointed with ants in my room.

The staff was tremendous and so good to me and my family and kids. The breakfast was top of the line with so many great options to choose from!!! The room was also very spacious and had everything we needed for our large family.

There was ants from the day we got there until we left. I even tried to clean and throw away food and the ants were still there so that is a huge issue for me and I regret not telling the staff because I thought if I cleaned they would go away but I will not be returning if this is not fixed .

We loved the Breakfast every morning. Very good and hot. Loved the safeness around the hotel, you could take a walk without fear of encountering thugs.

Would have been lovely, but.....

The amenities were perfect, the fireplace was lovely.

There were bugs all over the room tiny little white things. Not fruit flies but something similar. We cleaned them up and they immediately returned. The neighbor's dog barked, scratched the door like crazy, and ran around both nights so we got NO sleep.

Great location & amenities.

There is an infestation of bugs on the first floor. They were in the kitchen and bathroom. They were in two different suites on opposite sides of the building. It's unfortunate. If it weren't for the bugs, I would have given a 4 star review. But I will never go back to that hotel location.

Poor maintenance of building diminishes Marriott reputation.

Breakfast was good but space was very small so tables did not seem well enough spaced for pandemic

Shower and bathroom drains appeared to be blocked. I do not understand how a maid could not have seen this. Drains were so slow that you stood in 4 inches of dirty water in shower. Christmas Day drain sink spewed filth up to sink rim. Although We did get another room no one offered to help us gather things from bathroom which threatened to spew drain water over everything. Several light bulbs out in each room.

Great Family Stay

The suite was great with two bedrooms and living space with a kitchen. We used the outside grill several times on the patio as the kids swam in the pool. Breakfast is served every morning with inside and outside eating area. The location is a nice neighborhood and just a short drive to LEGOLAND and the Carlsbad Village. Extremely close to the strawberry fields and the Carlsbad Lagoon. We had our best vacation staying here and we will go back the next time we are in Carlsbad. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating, they made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable.

Great staff at high COST.

The staff was very attentive. Upon arrival we were offered an upgrade without additional cost. The engineer was very helpful and his response was immediate, when we reported a problem with the t.v volume. On our last night, Weds 5/19 8pm, we had trouble printing a document at the business center and the guys at the desk went above and beyond to get our document printed. I wish I had asked for their names as they were great.

When I called to reschedule my arrival, a day before my scheduled time, due to a death in the family, I got charged an additional $20 per night for the 2 nights, as the rate was $169 (the original rate was $149). The last day I asked to extend my stay 1 more night and I got charge $186 for the last 2 days. I was under the impression that I was going to get charged $169 for all 3 days. I would've liked for them to had given me a heads up on the charges for the last 2 days. Very unsatisfied about the charges, and non consideration for the reason behind my change of date. My husband's father had passed away on April 29th, and arrangements had to be made. Also, I did forget to tell the desk, that the kitchen table had a wobbly leg.

Didn’t have the breakfast. The location is good and the staff was pleasant.

Our room faced the pool-the lights were on all night! Very difficult to deal with all the lights! There must be a better solution to keep the pool safe!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I'VE BEEN A MARRIOTT REWARDS MEMBER FOR OVER 20 YEAR'S, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. TRIED TO BOOK FOR EXTRA NIGHT AT HIGHER RATE, THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T CLEAN ROOMS, ONLY ONCE A WEEK. I SAID THIS IS A NEW BOOKING, MOVE ME TO DIFFERENT ROOM, WAS TOLD THEY COULDN'T, LAST TIME FOR MARRIOTT STAY!
