We had a great time together.
SMOKING!!!! oh my gosh, I came home still smelling like smoke it is awful.

I got food poisoning from the Grill Cafe located in the casino.
There were people serving and working with food that didn't have any experience and apparently wasn't sanitary.
There were 15 people that had the same issue at the same time.
Vomiting for 2 days until it got to point of passing out.
I had to be taken to the Emergency Room- Hospital
For dehydration.
This was the worst experience I ever had at Derby City Classic.

Staff was friendly
Rooms were fine just kinda drabby. The tv didnt really work, room service didnt come by at all, and the bathrooms are very outdated. There arent many food options beyond door dash. Also the casino bar basically had only 2 tenders working every night

There was some kind of noise that was going off the entire night. We were to far from the casino for it to be that. It was very hard to sleep with the non stop noise. Also 3 pillows on a king bed is odd.

Normally rooms are $98 a night however to see a concert there the rooms are $428!!!! That’s insane and we had to pay an additional $20 for Wi-Fi. I would not stay here again. I would find somewhere less expensive and uber to a different location. What a ripoff!

It was clean. I enjoyed the to go machines. I ordered a pretzel and Cinnamon roll hot and ready. On trips I typically need something over the counter not this time, but loved the machine with cvs drug store products. Too neat!
Closest grocery in next town about 10 mins away.

I liked that I won some $
Probably one of the worst casinos that I’ve been too. No availability to food. Restaurants were closed. It’s seemed to be under staff. Call front desk regarding room service and was told I had to schedule it online. I never experienced that before

The rooms were nice.
The swimming pool and hot tub were closed and we weren’t notified about that before we stayed there. We would’ve picked a different hotel had we known this.

It was convenient to stay at the hotel and go to the concert on site. The room and facility seemed clean. The rooms were quiet. We didn’t hear people or noises in the hallway or other rooms.
Free parking was a plus.
It was confusing trying to figure out how to get to the hotel entrance. Initially we mistakenly entered the casino garage. Then thought something didn’t look right. We then drove around looking for the hotel. We eventually found another garage and drove up several floors to the top which is where the hotel entrance was located. Usually hotel entrances are on the ground floor and pretty obvious.
The door to the entrance was unassuming. There were actually two entrances that looked the same not too far apart. See photo posted of one entrance. The other entrance looked the same and located to the left of this one.
Better signage would have been helpful. Other guests we talked to also said it was confusing finding their way in. They also said it looked like the same construction that was going on last year when they came.
We requested a room with a view but was disappointed to have to look at the roof below and some construction materials on the ground. See photo posted.

Property was connected to the casino for easy access.
Beds were not as comfortable as they looked.

The room was more spacious than I expected, especially the bathroom. The separate “water closet” was great. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We got a great deal through booking.com which was fantastic. Oh and the concert being on site was a huge bonus.
The drop-off area was under construction. The parking garage felt like a bit of a walk into the hotel, though nice that it was all indoor/under roof walking.

The staff was very pleasant
The parking lot was a bit of a walk. The walk to the casino was ridiculous. Fast food breakfast wasn't expected.

Not much
No menus in room. Could not understand what they wanted me to do to get the menu. Went down to the front desk to get help, but they couldn't help us. You should have menus in room for older people who don't know cell phone well. Not a good experience for first time staying with you.
Tried calling room service and kept getting the answer machine. Could not get service in room.

Beautiful hotel. Vegas-style casino. Good à la carte breakfast.
I wasn't aware that we would have to cross a picket line to get to the property. It was very, very uncomfortable. There was flooding at the property, and the hot tub and pool were closed. We had been traveling all day and were looking forward to the hot tub. The entire first floor, including the entrance, was closed, and it was not marked very well where to go or where to park. It's way off the highway. The hotel and room were beautiful, but the sheets felt like cardboard. The staff was all on the picket line and the only people available to assist were non-English speaking.

All of the staff members were amazing and really nice and helped with every issue we had in a timely manner. The security staff in the casino was beyond amazing after getting me my money that fell out of my pocket. If it didn’t cost so much I would probably be back once a month but hopefully since I’m a member now I’ll get to earn stuff
I don’t think our room was properly cleaned. A glob of someone else’s hair was in the shower hair tie on the floor making me wonder if the room had been vacuumed. It was handled in a timely manner housekeeping came in and recleaned our room.

The room was dusty, refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned out.

I liked that everything was close to hotel
Most of restaurants are not even open except weekends which only gave us one option to eat at since it was during weekday. Plus we were told pool was open then it ended up being closed.

The staff at the hotel and casino were all great. The casino was fun but we did have to wait quite a while to play roulette because they only had two tables open. They did finally open a third table but the min bet was $25 whereas the other two tables had a $15 min bet. The casino was fun but we were so disappointed with our room. The shower head was dirty and had very little water pressure.. The room had a bit of an odor and smelled of smoke although it was a non smoking room. They also make you pay a resort fee for things we never used! But, my biggest complaint was the bed.. The comforter looked so old, wrinkled and faded which I would’ve been ok with but there was not a fitted sheet on the bed!! All night the bottom flat sheet kept slipping down and we would wake up sleeping on the itchy, thin mattress topper which I assume doesn’t get washed often! We didn’t go to bed and realize the sheet problem until well after midnight so we tried to make the bed work instead of calling for one so late but we got very little sleep that night! We were gonna stick around and hit the casino for a few more hours that morning before leaving but after getting no sleep we just got up early and got out of there. We were originally planning another trip here to bring our group of casino friends with us but unfortunately after the hotel experience, I don’t think we will be returning.. I expected so much nicer from Caesars 🫤

The bathroom was super dirty and the guy who checked us in was rude. They have no bellman’s cart so you have to haul your stuff all over the hotel. Very inconvenient. Very limited options for food(a snack bar basically) and everything was closed.
