Our stay would have been great if the elevators were working properly.

It was close to shopping.

They only had one working elevator for the entire hotel. The elevator that we instructed to go to was a long walk for me because of recent knee surgery and traveling with a toddler. On two occasions the only working elevator stopped working, we were then instructed to use the stairs. I was a little over one month post op from knee surgery so I stayed in until the only working elevator was fixed.

Pre cruise stay at the Hyatt

The hotel was great, we had a large room with a king sized bed and a sitting area. We also had a small kitchen, which we never used. The breakfast was excellent and we brought it up to or room. This is a great place to stay , we used it for a stop over before our cruise.

The only downside was the airport shuttle pickup. They are a little slow and there are two Hyatt hotels next to each other , one is Hyatt House the other is Hyatt Place. This was the only confusing part as either hotel shuttle should work but they don't run it that way.

From delight to disappointment

The facilities were excellent and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a ground-floor suite with a kitchen, which was very well equipped. I was travelling with a person living with ALS who can only consume puréed food, so access to a kitchen was essential for us. The check in was very smooth and the staff on duty that evening (Dec 14) was professional and friendly. The location was very good for people who have a long layover for flights. It’s very close to the airport, yet in a quiet spot near a convenient plaza.

However, when I woke up the next morning, I found a cockroach on the wall. I killed it immediately, but this raised serious concerns about cleanliness and the possibility that insects could have gotten into our luggage and travelled home with us. Our check-in experience was smooth and pleasant. Unfortunately, our experience the following morning with the airport shuttle was very disappointing. We had reserved two seats for the 5:00 a.m. shuttle and arrived at the pickup point at 4:55 a.m. At that time, a large family was already on board, leaving only three seats available. The driver then decided to prioritize two airline crew members, leaving only one seat for us. As we were travelling together and one of us is a disabled person, splitting up was not an option. The shuttle left without us. I went to the front desk to explain the situation. The receptionist responded that we should wait for the 5:30 a.m. shuttle. When I asked what the purpose of making a reservation was, she replied, dismissively, that “it’s a free service.” This response was both inappropriate and lacking in sensitivity. We stayed at the hotel only because our connecting flight was cancelled due to weather conditions at FLL. We paid full price for a room that we occupied for fewer than eight hours and did not use any amenities other than the shuttle service. Describing the shuttle as “free” overlooks the fact that it is part of the service offering that influenced our decision to stay at the hotel. Given that we woke up at 4:30 a.m. specifically to meet our reserved shuttle time and were travelling with a disabled person to catch a flight, the situation required empathy and a more responsible response. I strongly recommend staff take sensitivity and accessibility training.

Great location close to Cruise Port, Airport. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. Spacious room nicely laid out. Kitchenette well equipped. Very clean. Free shuttle to airport - took only 10 minutes. Quick and super friendly checkin - kudos to Kate!

Their breakfast starts at 6am which is too late for folks with 8am - or earlier flights. Perhaps they can offer a "breakfast to go" - maybe yogurt or egg sandwich or bagel or fruit.

Breakfast was poor and shuts too early, staff not helpful

Elevator broke down for entire stay l, meant the only elevator was other end of hotel, lonf wlak and had to wait ages as many flight crew use hotel and coming and going. Guy who worked the bar not helpful at all and rude. Reception area hot and stuff A/C not working well smelt stuffy and too hot to work with laptop.

This hotel was so close to the airport. The free transportation to the hotel was quick and the driver was friendly. Extremely smooth check in process. The room was absolutely awesome. We stayed here the night before a cruise out of Miami and plan to stay here in the future.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Loved that they had a fully equipped kitchen and free shuttle service to and from the airport. The location was exceptional, walking distance from Dania Pointe shopping and restaurants. Didn't really need to go to a mall as most of the popular shops were at Dania Pointe.
