The room was fine. It was cold but the heating eventually got it to a comfortable enough temperature. It was clean.

I had a rather unpleasant experience here. The staff were rude. I needed a basic bit of paperwork for my employers to show the refundable damages deposit for the room and they claimed it was impossible to produce such a thing. Even when I just asked for something hand written, they refused. The information on their website doesn't match reality. (Example their gym closes earlier than they say it does online and the pool was entire closed for 2 weeks) The breakfast was mediocre at best. It was hot but that's about it.

I’ll come back

The facility and room was very clean and the check in process was easy. The staff was nice as well. I appreciate the breakfast included even though I didn’t try it. I don’t normally eat breakfast so I was not hungry. The location was good as well as it was surrounded by other hotels which means they have to stand out in every way they can to have business. They also had Netflix, YouTube and other apps which is great. Bed was comfortable and sleep was quiet!

Breakfast is limited. You're only allowed two strips of bacon. I asked for more and it wasn't permitted. I've never seen anything like it in any hotel in the USA. I couldn't believe it! The breakfast was awful! The jacuzzi wasn't working either, unfortunately.

VERY CLEAN. I had low expectations but they were extremely clean. The breakfast was delicious and I love that it wasn’t self serving with people picking over the food. Would highly recommend.

I didn’t like that when we were given our breakfast cards they wrote “6:30-9” however breakfast is served at 6 AM and many guests were already there. I may be used to southern hospitality and it’s definitely a culture shock. Be kind to all guests because we are all paying with the same money to stay with you.

Relaxing stay when not visiting the city and family.

Breakfast was good and the staff are all friendly. The beds are very comfortable Lovely pool and hot tub.

Extremely disappointing and humiliating experience My family and I had a deeply frustrating and humiliating experience while attempting to stay at this hotel. I had already been staying at another Best Western in the same city and made a new reservation at this location purely for convenience. Upon arrival with my wife and two young children (ages 5 and 8), I attempted to check in using my valid credit card — the same card I had been using throughout my trip, including earlier that day at another Best Western. For reasons that were never explained, the system kept declining the payment. Instead of receiving any support or professionalism from the front desk, I was immediately accused of being “rude” and “laughing at the situation” — which is absolutely false. I remained calm, respectful, and focused solely on trying to resolve the issue and secure a room for my family. Things escalated unnecessarily when I was told I had been asked to leave “eight times” and that the police would be called. This threat was completely unwarranted and humiliating, especially in front of my small children. I was treated as if I were causing a disturbance, when all I wanted was a place to sleep for the night. To make matters worse, I later booked a room at another nearby hotel using the exact same credit card — without any issues. This clearly indicates that the problem was on their end, not mine. Despite never staying in the room or receiving any service whatsoever, the hotel charged me a $200 security deposit. This is completely unjustified and, in my view, amounts to dishonest business practice. I’ve been a loyal Best Western guest for years, but this experience has made me seriously reconsider future stays. I strongly advise other travelers — especially families — to think twice before booking this location.

Good Value for money newly refreshed Best Western Plus in OC

Rooms and toilets were clean. Bed was well made and spotlessm the AC worked great. Breakfast was a small spread but wastage avoided by serving a fixed but sufficient quantity in the morning. The breakfast had a choice between pancakes with eggs and hashbrowns every day. It was basic but better than other places we have stayed and was filling for what we needed.

Nothing in particular to not like. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The printer in the business center was not connected to the networking so front desk took printouts for air travel and helped. No experience with room service since it was an overnight stay.

Not up to par to other Best Westerns

The room was adequate, clean and comfortable. The room we received was a bit far from the elevator, but that was a plus due to less foot traffic.

We didn't like the breakfast. The hotel gave each room guest a voucher and the attendant would hand you a plate. We've stayed at other Best Westerns, and we expected for breakfast to be served buffet style all you can eat.

The room was basic but clean and comfortable. I chose this hotel mainly because of the safety concern in Irvine (safety in hotel parking lot, etc.), and I felt quite safe as the parking lot was very well lit. The staff was also nice.

I was disappointed that there is not much vegan options for breakfast. I'm also concerned that I recently read an article about Best Western being behind their pledge of sourcing their eggs NOT from factory farms...

A clean, well-located hotel with a nice pool and tasty breakfast.

This is a centrally located hotel that is close to amusement parks, the beach and was in a safe area of town. It is surrounded by other hotels and the street it is on wasn’t too busy.

The staff at the hotel were all prompt and attentive, but no one stood out to me as overtly friendly. But no one was rude or unaccommodating.

Dissatisfied, disappointed and grossed out by the lack of standards and customer care

This property is so unkept and ghetto. From the moment you walk into the lobby, it has a seedy feeling. It’s dirty and the rooms are gross. The lobby doesn’t have a restroom. The restroom on the property is under lock and key even though it’s the “public bathroom.” It’s the oddest experience and stay I have experienced in all of my travels. If it hadn’t been a non-refundable reservation, I would have left. In my opinion, sleeping in your car is a more desirable option. Also, why offer breakfast when it feels and looks like a prison system. So bizarre!

The bedding is horrendous. Furniture is disgraceful and needs to be replaced. Pillows are hard and a complete joke. It was more comfortable sleeping with my sweatshirt under my head. The room felt disgusting, unsanitary, dark, outdated and gross. I was shocked by the condition. Best Western should be ashamed to have this place representing the brand.
