The Fox Inn

We had a very pleasant night in the Fox Inn while walking the Cotswolds Way. Our luggage arrived without a problem, and we enjoyed the clean and comfortable room. The food in the bar was very good, and service was excellent. I would recommend it for anyone walking in the Cotswolds. There is a good store across the street with some food and sandwiches too.

Not very welcoming staff when we arrived...pub is currently under renovation...can't understand the idea of the open cafe attached to pub, pub basic , no warmth and charm about it, only served snacks from cafe, no other food, so eat at pub 1 min walk down the road...we had luggage transfer and guy behind the bar no idea where we were to leave it on checkout?? We also asked which was strongest beer they had...he said he didn't know, think he needs to do a course on how to be friendly to guests, and learn knowledge of beers rather than spending time on his mobile

Quiet village location. Room was spacious, clean and light.

A bathmat would have been appreciated. Everything else was fine and we plan to return.

The room was large and airy.

The place was pretty noisy and the staff didn't really seemed too concerned if you were there or not. More of a pub than anything else.
