Loved the staff, location & the overall vibe of the hotel.
The bed & pillows were so uncomfortable, usually I lie in but I couldn’t wait to get up in the morning.

Beautiful room, we had a feature room with exposed beams and stone walls. Great design, comfortable bed, free cookies and coffee machine with free pods. Spotlessly clean, we loved it

Central and close to parking.
I thought the staff, (especially in the Bar were rude, and not well supervised . Our bedroom, while generally clean (i.e. bedding etc) had not been really well serviced and the one shower arrangement leads to a lot of standing water in the Bathroom.

Completely refurbished and quite stunning, but many teething problems. In our room the tv remote, the bathroom ventilator, the shower controls, the basin drain did not function properly and we had to change rooms. The lift was also out of order!

Tasteful decor, cosy atmosphere, lively atmosphere in evening in bar but can get away from that in the beautiful brasserie restaurant. Exceptional food. Room was fabulous everything you would expect and more.

We loved the central location and the fact it was dog friendly. Beautiful building with original features but still nice and modern inside.
Our only fault was the fact we had no hot water in our shower - but the staff were brilliant and moved our rooms the following day

Breakfast was amazing. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay with you again and I have recommended you to friends. Overall very satisfied, thankyou
Couldn’t find how to turn the bathroom heater on

Beautiful location
Fire alarm went off at 11 pm we were staying with the newborn as you can imagine that was a nightmare.
Knowing we had a baby and Dog, they put us in the furthest possible room away from the entrance which over looked the outside bar area which as you can imagine was really noisy. The lift was broken and therefore we had to lug everything upstairs which was exhausting. Key card didn’t work and I have to call to reception to help me they took 20 minutes to attend while I was waiting outside the door with multiple bags Baby and Dog. We overheard other customers complaining about the lack of heating in their room. The general vibe from the staff was poor, inconsiderate and not very friendly.

The central location and the on site restaurants
Sewage smell by front door, extractor not working in bathroom and the lift not working was very inconvenient as that’s the reason the booked the hotel in the first place because of having a very bad knee

Bed was very comfortable.
Friendly staff.
Good quality food for breakfast.
Nice decor.
Slightly grubby bathroom walls. Shower lovely and big but not really fit for purpose without some kind of screen - the floor gets drenched.
Would be good if heating was set a little higher to ensure the room is warm on arrival.
Brasserie staff could communicate a little better.

Hotel was amazing perfect location, large rooms with a buzzy bar downstairs
Some parts of the rooms could do with a freshen up, large scratches on cupboard doors

Great location , comfortable bed -slept well.
Understaffed & inexperienced staff in bar and restaurant. Disappointing feature room- 4 windows all permanently covered as very overlooked so no views and dark in the room.
Sink tap very stiff and open shower without screen meant whole bathroom floor got wet. Limited breakfast choice- only fruit for 3 mornings was watermelon and no marmalade!

Food served was a little cold !

The location was perfect and the building was lovely. The bar was cozy and comfortable.
They’d had runout of chips so we had to have sweet potato fries. The breakfast was poor, from having to wait over an hour to be served, when it arrived it was cold, I ordered brown toast with mushrooms and got served white toast and ONE mushroom (not a large one)
The lift wasn’t working and the was a poor sewage smell in the reception area.

Nice spacious room with period features and a comfortable bed and bathtub. The hotel is in a great location, right in the town center with great access to all Cirencester has to offer. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent.
Our room was quite far from the reception and the elevator was broken down, so carrying bags a long way was a bit of nuisance. The room could have had a few more amenities, e.g. refrigerator, bath robes, slippers.

Great location in the town centre.
We stayed in the Junior suite and the room size is very spacious and the bed was comfortable.
Only issue was the heating was not functioning so did get cold during the evening.
Hotel did give us some portable heaters which did help.
We would stay again in the future.
Was cold in the evening in our room.

Great location. Great atmosphere in the pub and we had a fantastic meal in the restaurant. Highly recommend the tomahawk to share.
The mattress felt very old and was a bit lumpy. In places. Definitely needs an upgrade. Towel rail didn’t work in the bathroom so was pretty cold. Also maybe the rooms need USB ports.

Location
The room was dated and just not clean …..
couldn’t wait to get out of it. Certainly didn’t want to linger in the bathroom.
Hair on the floor and in the bath, dirty toilet brush, stained walls….

Location good, decor and bar good
Staff dreadful. Booked king but given twin, asked for room near lift as I have a disability. Got given furthest room and up a staircase. They really couldn’t care less
6.0 / 10.0
Good location in the market square and an easy walk to the local pubs, restaurants and shops. Although the hotel does not offer parking, it was a short walk to a public car park.
The service in the bar and restaurant was excellent and the food was delicious.
We stayed in a feature room overlooking the market square. This is one of the more expensive rooms available so we were expecting little welcoming touches such as bath robes, or a mini fridge to keep milk chilled. However, these things were only offered if you had the principle suite. The room was clean and seemed to be recently decorated but there were key features missing, such as a door to the shower. It wasn't an accessible room so the ensuite was not a wet room but there was no door to the shower and the bathroom was quickly flooded when we had a shower.

Great location and the staff were exceptional - especially Kim
I was there for the half Marathon and Kim arranged for me to toast my bagels & get jam & a coffee
They allowed us a late checkout so I could shower after the run
Staff really went the extra mile
Dog friendly which is great
The pub in the hotel seems to be the place to be if you enjoy a drink and atmosphere - yet no noise to rooms
Some of the rooms are really far away - worth checking where your room is if you have a baby like we did. I don’t think the hotel should’ve put us there knowing we have a dog and a baby. But we could’ve asked to move and chose not to
I think there should be a fridge in the room - was tricky for milk
Breakfast starting at 7 is a bit late for me
Corridors need some work - but I can imagine it’s expensive to upkeep

Shower over the bath felt little at risk of slipping

The room size is great! Bed was very confy! Extra points for the coffee machine, the cookies and the water bottles!
The hotel’s pub was also great!
The walls… you could hear everything… like for example the neighbour flushing or taking a shower… moreover, you could hear any guest passing your room.

Location and characteristic structure of the hotel. Beautiful rooms and service of all the staff. In particularly I appreciate very much Kim at the reception. She always was kind, collaborative problems solver and always with a smile in her face. She make me think she was really happy to see me and listen to my requests. This is a great attitude that I liked most.

Very spacious bedroom and lovely big bathroom. Loved the free cookie
Lift was out of order and spa wasn’t opened. Also no milk in bedroom so had to borrow some from a friend!

The location in the heart of Cirencester.
On first glance we felt the room was excellent, but it looked onto a courtyard that had VERY noisy people drinking and smoking well into the night.

Location was excellent. Hotel was lovely
We ate in the pub there last night ( we sat in the brasserie) they did not have 2 of the starters we asked for - this was not explained to us when we were sat down. This is the only negative I have about the stay
