Creaking floorboards...woke up several times throughout both nights stay thinking someone had walked into our room. So a very restless 2 nights sleep.I appreciate its an old building but the noise was exceptionally loud...not what you want going for a weekend to relax and chill.

Pleasant and comfortable stay, enhanced by a welcoming atmosphere and helpful, professional staff.

During our stay, we found the room to be nicely appointed overall. There were a few minor issues that could benefit from attention. In the bathroom, there was a wooden stand used for towel storage, which was also the only available space for our wash bags. Unfortunately, it was quite small and unstable, making it impractical. Additionally, the sink did not have any cold running water. This was reported so it could be rectified for future guests. We were offered an alternative room but chose to remain where we were. The bedroom itself was well appointed, featuring a comfortable king-size bed and adequate space to hang clothing. The property was clean and well maintained throughout. We enjoyed drinks in the bar and spent time in the drawing room with the log burner, which was a particularly welcome touch given the poor weather during our stay. We only interacted with two members of staff, but both were polite, professional, and extremely helpful, which added positively to our experience.

One aspect of our stay that we found disappointing was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We were able to clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, as well as their television, which continued until late at night. This did impact our comfort and ability to fully relax

perfect place wish to be back

The atmosphere was amazing, the room was very spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to help us. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding—fresh, clean, and perfectly delicious. The staff from both the night and morning shifts were extremely kind, lovely, and friendly.

There is no elevator, although the booking website indicates that the accommodation is accessible for people with disabilities, which could be misleading. We arrived with large luggage; however, the staff were incredibly helpful and provided excellent service.

A very pleasant Christmas stay among good company

Very friendly and welcoming from all staff. Made us feel part of their family. Food was all very good with an outstanding Christmas lunch in a very busy and hapoy dining area.

A nice hotel just outside Cirencester

This is a cute Cotswolds hotel, located right outside Cirencester. You do need a car to get there, but there is plenty of parking. We didn't book breakfast. Had dinner in restaurant on arrival (which we had pre-booked), which was good. The facilities are very nice and cute in the typical Cotswolds colours. The room is basic, but fine. The bathroom looks newly refurbished.

The room was VERY cold at night. We assume they turn off the heating in the night, but it was too much. Had to sleep in sweatshirts... Our friends' room next door had a lot of corridor light come thru under the door and had to put a cushion there to block out light.. you might want to put the lights on sensors at night?

The only thing was there was only sourdough bread on offer for breakfast and I found it a bit hard to cut when toasted.

A pleasant stay overall, but several aspects didn’t meet expectations.

The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel had a lovely atmosphere with beautiful surroundings.

The spa facilities were smaller than expected. The dinner was disappointing — tasteless and overpriced. The room was also quite noisy, and we could clearly hear the guests upstairs.

The food was great, breakfast and we also tried lunch and dinner and great portions and great tasting food. The chefs do a good job. The location is brilliant easy walk into cirencester and other surrounding areas.

The room was very small and bed uncomfortable. Walls very thin so could hear the person next door very loudly throughout the night. Wifi kept losing connection in the hotel. The hotel seemed overstaffed in bar area. We reserved a table for dinner one night and no table was reserved even though we got a confirmation email. One staff member at the bar made a rude comment about us not ordering alcohol in the evening when we ordered tea. We found this really uncomfortable and unprofessional. Also when checking out the receptionist didnt even ask how our stay was she just took the keys and said goodbye. Never experienced anything like that.

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking.

James at reception was friendly and very helpful. Our room was large and overlooked the garden. The twin beds were very comfortable. Quiet location. We had the Sunday roast in the restaurant. We waited a bit too long before they returned to take our order. The waiter said he thought we had already ordered. There were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant at that time. The meal was just ok. There were lots of vegetables on our plate, but not a lot of meat. Beer was nice and cold.

The audio on the television kept dropping out. There was a faint smell of blocked drain in our bathroom. Room 40.

Lovely Birthday stay, very enjoyable.

Gorgeous house in lovely setting and close to Cirencester and other Cotswolds tourist spots. Had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was very good.

Just that we booked a couple of spa treatments which we do a lot and thought for the treatment it was over priced and the fact that although you booked a spa treatments which we you still had to pay extra to use spa facilities.

An overall pleasant, pet-friendly stay

The location was great and the spa was a good experience. Parking was easy and the grounds were well kept. Allowing pets was a big plus for us, and our room's location in the annex put us at ease because of it.

The pet-specific room wasn't very clean and didn't get much sunlight, giving the room a moist and musty smell. The location of the room right next to the annex door made it such that we heard door slamming all night. The room/space above ours was quite loud too.

Excellent

Staff were super friendly and accommodating. We were a party of 8 which included elderly parents who have restricted mobility and required an accessibility room. This was accommodated for in a beautiful, large spacious bedroom with a walking bathroom with no lips to trip on. Walk in wet room shower and discrete handles for support on sinks. There was a separate bath with support rails. Our bedroom was beautiful, spacious with a new across the gardens. A split level, large bath room with a roll top bath and a walk in shower was lovely. Breakfast was excellent value. Had a wide range of choice and the cooked breakfast was flexible within the option eg swap mushrooms for hash browns. The hot breakfast choice has a wide range of options. The rooms were spacious, clean and well serviced with hairdryer, coffee machine and water provided. Grounds were stunning with well kept gardens.

Car park was a little tight at the entrance when dropping off elderly parents but this was a minor point. Shower heads could have done with a clean
