Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a base for exploring the Cotswolds.

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Great character room, very clean, quiet and warm. Excellent cooked breakfast and good continental selection of cereal, juice, yoghurt etc Great location 5 minute walk into the centre of Cirencester. Added bonus of a free hotel car park.

Guests should be aware that due to the character of the old building there are no lifts and the staircases are narrow and steep.

A lovely stay at a charming location

We stayed here overnight but didn't have an evening meal. The welcome was polite and accommodating and we had no issues parking. The room was adequate for our needs and clean. We had breakfast and it was very good - plenty to eat and easy to order. The staff at breakfast were delightful! Happy to recommend and indeed to consider staying again.

Nothing really. The only issue was leaving mud from our shoes on the lovely, clean carpet. Perhaps a mat at the door might have avoided our embarrassment but this is a very minor point.

As I was staying alone. Feeling safe and comfortable is very important. The staff were very welcoming & helpful. The whole hotel was sparkling clean. Breakfast was a delight.

The bedroom was a little dark for me to revise in but it is February & it rained all day & night.

Beautiful family run hotel in ideal location in Cirencester dog friendly with parking. Breakfast and evening meals were good. Room clean and well presented.

We’d probably request a room not on the second floor. Tricky with dog in a lead and steep stairs.

Nice but could have been better

Pleasant staff, clean hotel

Room was difficult to get to up steep stairs and with an arthritic knee it was a painfull trek. Also banged my head several times on the angled ceiling. The shower was all but unusable due to its cramped location and sloping roof. Also at the time of my stay the hotel carport was flooded resulting in £19 charge at the local Abbey carpark and a several hundred yards walk to the hotel.

Quaint old hotel. An enjoyable stay.

It is a cute old building with quite a cosy bar. We enjoyed our nightcap whisky. The breakfast was just right, including table service and tasty food - good toast. The shower was good.

The room was a little small and a bit dated. There were not many power sockets, it had poor lighting, a small bed and creaky floors. It got very warm and I couldn't open the window. To be fair, it had everything we needed tea/coffee, TV, decent shower room and was very quiet.

Perfect in every way!

It’s the 3rd stay at the Corinium for us. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, the breakfast is fabulous, and the location is perfect for our annual Christmas shopping trip in Cirencester. Already booked for next year!

Nice hotel. Room disappointing.

Comfortable bed. Convenient location. Good parking. Good breakfast and restaurant.

Poor storage. Drawers too small and shallow to be useful. Narrow wardrobe with hanging rail 6 feet from the floor with fixed hangers. Consequently impractical for me to hang my clothes. No storage in the bathroom apart from a very small shelf above sink so had to use bath for storage. It was advertised as a "compact" room and didn't mind the small double bed or room size but didn't expect the drawers and wardrobe to be so compact that I had nowhere to keep my clothes.

Beautiful character filled hotel,spotlessly clean.bedroom was lovely,really comfortable bed.lovely big shower.room smelt lovely and fresh.all the staff were so friendly and welcoming,breakfast was superb with fresh local produce and great choice. Bar area was lovely and cosy,good selection of drinks and very friendly barman. Very close to town centre but very peaceful would highly recommend the hotel

The staff are very welcoming and made our stay very pleasurable. The meals were excellent. We stayed in a converted attic room with period features which are typical of its 15th century construction. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the food on offer.
