Really friendly staff, lovely duplex room (the bottle store) pretty beer garden and great pizza truck.

The pub needs to invest in some fans for the rooms. None were available and so it was stifflingly hot and difficult to sleep. Also, we were booked in for dinner, the kitchen staff tried to shut before we had eaten and my salad arrived without 3 of the ingredients. I queried it when it was served and it was mostly rectified. Shame though as everything else was wonderful.

Continental breakfast in room not particularly good and main breakfast in hotel didn’t start until 9am! Dinner menu very limited in vegetarian options ie one and Caesar salad contained a large amount of bacon which was not mentioned on menu ingredients… very poor.

The location was good and the availability of parking was also useful.

The room met all basic requirements. Not a lot of thought had been put into its usability. The bedroom was upstairs, and the bathroom was downstairs, not ideal if you need to go to the toilet during the night. There were no surfaces upstairs to put things, except for the bedside cupboards, which were already occupied by lamps. The breakfast was basic and did not reflect the perceived quality of the establishment. The restaurant, a public house, offered a limited overpriced menu, the service was abysmal we needed to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper.
