Great mid priced hotel in lovely location.

Large hotel, easy walking distance to the town, and turn left for the dales. Free parking (!). Dog friendly hotel that had a dog free area for those with allergies/dislike of pooches. Breakfast was buffet style, with fair choice, including those who don't want the traditional full Yorkshire. Locked access to rooms via lift or stairs.

Previous Inn collection stay (Durham) offered cook to order breakfast. Could be Ripon didn't because it was very busy.

Slightly noisy from cabaret at night but only until midnight. Also sound proofing between rooms not great, we were party to someone else's conversation next door that woke us up at 6am.

A most enjoyable and relaxing two nights stay in the lovely City of Ripon

Excellent breakfast . Particularly impressed with the offer of a free drink in lieu of not having our room serviced during our two night stay, to save on extra laundry . A great idea

The birds who made a right mess of our parked car on Friday night . They clearly had a party in the trees above where we had parked !!! Seriously enjoyable stay at a very friendly hotel .

Really lovely!!!

Breakfast was exceptional,as was the room.Plenty of space & very comfortable.Massive bathroom which i liked & downstairs in the bar area was very tastefully decorated.A really lovely place to stay.I was worried,after reading some reviews about the so-called limited parking but there was plenty.Staff were super friendly & even got a drink on the house when we chose not to have our room serviced.

The only thing i would say was that i thought the wine was a little over priced,sauvignon blanc at £33 per bottle was a bit pricy,other than that no negatives.

Clean, comfy accommodation in a newly refurbished hotel.

Check in with quick and simple and there was free car parking. Our room was very spacious with comfortable beds. Clean and modern bathroom.

The food was average. We had dinner there which wasn’t that great. The breakfast buffet was quite nice though.

Breakfast was excellent and very fresh not tired like some buffets. Hotel couldn’t have been better placed for walking into centre and the gardens and parks nearby were lovely.

The rooms were large, spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and polite. The location was excellent as well with it being a 5 minute walk into the town centre and with free parking at the hotel as well. The view we had from our rooms was beautiful as well, looking out over the huge gardens with trees and hills in the background.

We don’t know if it was the staff or some ignorant customers but someone was banging doors from 4 a.m which woke us all up and kept us awake until we decided we might as well get up and go down for breakfast at 8 a.m, plus our room was really, really hot and stuffy but it was too cold to have the window open.

Good choice for 3 nights in and around Ripon.

Bar was large and comfortable. Good range of beers and food. Very convenient for the places we wanted to visit.

Traffic seemed busy and fast on the short walk to town. The park route was better during the day. We seemed to be bombarded with emails by the head office.

A comfortable place to stay.

The hotel had a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. We even got a larger room than we’d booked, and it was really comfortable, cozy, and spotless. The breakfast was excellent, and we had dinner there a few times as well — which was also great. It was the perfect base for exploring the area with our rental car.

The breakfast was appalling. Cheap ingredients, keep warm filter coffee, no decent bread, rubbery eggs swimming in water, the cheapest marmalade possible etc - looks like penny pinching by central buying.

Emphasis had changed so although a delightful building it felt more like an upmarket premier Inn .. nowhere for residents to relax in the evening except the bar/ restaurant.

When we booked in the receptionist informed my husband that we only booked for a single room she was quiet abrupt I phoned booking. Com and explained what happened . I have booked all our stays through you , it turns out I only put one person on the booking form ,we asked her if she had a double room and had to wait while she took her time to inform us that they had but it was £80 more for the night of course we had to pay it we are in our seventies and didn't have a clue what else to do what I can't understand that why didn't anyone from booking. com notice and why was it so much more ! I'll think twice about booking through you again

The bar/restaurant need modernising Dried flowers everywhere make it feel very dusty and old fashioned. Picture boards everywhere very dates too. Reception was hard to find.

A very pleasant enjoyable one night stay.

Excellent corner room provided with a sweeping view over the gardens, room size above expectations, bathroom good size, friendly and well trained staff member at check-in. Bar was pleasant, suggest a wider range of wine by the glass.

The breakfast was below expectations, hot food unattractive and dry, the coffee horrible and undrinkable as it is the drip machine and brewed coffee left for ages on the heater, creating the oil within to burn and turn the beverage bitter. The hotel needs to update its standards to what the expectation is today, with a proper automated self service espresso machine the old drip coffee machines with coffee left to burn and not freshly brewed in a constant manner is the thing of the past.
