Valentino s Restaurant with Rooms

Breakfast was the highlight of the day.Exactly to my taste.Very well presented and of a high standard.Loved the yogurt with fruit compote and granola (which was not the usual hard clusters of seeds which are difficult to eat and play havoc with my teeth)which was served with very juicy,soft dried apricots and raisins and fresh fruit.Good tea and coffee and lovely Italian biscuits were in the bedroom. A bedsheet was in the room in case it was too warm for the quilt.This was very much appreciated. Given a key with the code to the outside door if staying out late.

No blind or curtain in the bathroom. If the window was open just a little it felt like there was no privacy from the buildings opposite.A couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes when changing or during a shower and a bin would be useful although there was one in the bedroom. The road was very busy and quite noisy but quietened down over night. Not a problem with the windows closed.

The room was of a good size and very comfortable. I loved the coffee machine and the Italian biscuits. The bathroom had a great shower and good quality towels. Breakfast was unusual and delicious. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful.

Nothing. I wish that I could have stayed longer and eaten my way through the menu at the restaurant as well.

Amazing hospitality done in an the best way - one that seems effortless which is actually the product of a lot of thought, passion and graft. The team were all welcoming and super-helpful, the room itself was styled and kitted out in a way that was slick and functional. A really comfy bed, a great fan which was a godsend in the heatwave, a coffee machine and a fridge with both milk for tea and mineral water (glass bottles - big tick) that you are welcome to ask to be topped up. Also a little jar with probably the best biscotti/cantucci I've ever had. Breakfast was another story altogether - again, the best hotel breakfast I've had in years, and leagues above anything else you'd expect in the UK. Hats off to the team behind this.. it looks as if they are doing really well and they deserve every success.

Nothing. Some people might slip a disc because there's not a 24 front desk with a corporate drone telling them they can't have what they need/want at 2am. Let them do that, and stay away. If you're looking for real comfort, genuine hospitality and amazing food... look no further.
