we have stayed here before it was taken over the room was the same needs updating the screws were off the headboard the they downstairs lovely all of the work has been done downstairs the lift was not working which was not good as we were on the 2nd floor should have been told about that before we booked

Great location, rooms basic but clean with everything you needed, ironing board , hairdryer kettle
Car park, not enough staff working at the bar, drinks are expensive, lift not working, no air con and some windows could not be opened

Location was excellent and the building had lots of character. Breakfast was excellent although had to sit outside one day as not enough tables luckily glorious morning. Outside patio area was excellent but should retain some space for residents always extremely busy.
Do not feel going to the bar to check in is right should have a reception desk. Never seemed to be enough staff and at checkout in the bar 10-30am main checkout time, no staff but a big queue. Windows across front of room do not provide any privacy unless you close curtains which black the room out. No blind in the bathroom. Woken up each morning by a loud rattling pipes noise which we think is related to next room showering. Reported to checkout so next booking don’t have that disturbance..
