Lovely stay in great Harrogate location

Hotel in great location for us, clean and comfortable with a nice double bed. Decent breakfast included in the very reasonable price we paid.

Car park a bit cramped at times but not to any great detriment.

For an overnight stay, I was happy enough but probably wouldn’t rush back. Nice for a drink.

Everything was very good however there were a couple of things noticed during my short stay.

For me the standard of breakfast didn’t seem to come up to scratch, compared to the previous nights meal, which was lovely. Also the tables in the breakfast area didn’t appear totally refreshed in between users - a few too many sticky spots for my liking.

Lovely decor and main bar was really nice. Very good location for us as it was beside convention centre. Loved the family room with kids bunks.

Room was freezing. Took a while to heat up. No heating in bathroom so having a shower wasn’t pleasant. Breakfast wasn’t topped up well on one morning. Lack of staff. Early check out time

A perfect slice of history with modern amenities.

Loved the look and feel of the property, it was perfectly located for our trip to Betty’s tea room and the Turkish Baths.

Definitely wouldn’t not recommend nor stay again

The bar as it was a good atmosphere only stayed for one drink however.

The condition of the rooms, mold, dated, damaged. Slept 2 hours of out the 9 I was in bed. Loud doors, shouting. Lights in the room unable to dim near the toilet door. Curtains that didn’t block the light and a bathroom window that was open when we arrive and incredibly difficult to shut . Reception in the bar wasn’t great. Heard multiple guest complain about miscommunication and being told they had to down grade their rooms due to a leak? Better communication could have avoided all these issues.

Give this place a WIDE BIRTH if you have a disability

When I booked I asked could I be put on the ground floor the call handler said can't guarantee that but there is a lift as I have got a disability can't do stairs when we got there the lift was out of order & had been for several weeks. Our room they gave us was on the Second floor I explained to reception they said we can only give you a Room on the first floor which is in total three flights of stairs this ruined our stay then to top it all breakfast on both days was stone cold. I on leaving the hotel spoke to the manager explained my grievance he apologised & said he would give me & my partner a free one night stay he also said I would receive a email confirming this still no Email I don't think we will be using this hotel again

It is in an ideal location for your visit to Harrogate the rooms are comfortable other than being on the small side you get a good nights sleep as beds are comfy

Loved the restaurant/breakfast area. Cosy and decorated for Christmas. Fab location and the meals/breakfast were great.

Lift didn't work on the day we stayed, which was a shame as someone in our group had mobility issues. Room a little tired-looking but not surprising for an old property and the price was reasonable during the festive period.

Staff very helpful. Location ideal. Clean tidy & comfortable room. Car parking a great bonus. Fully stocked bar with plenty of choices. Lovely outdoor seating to relax in.

I was informed a couple of days before my stay that the lift was out of order & may not be available during my stay. This was indeed the case & caused some inconvenience. Also the plumbing in the room we occupied was extremely noisy.

Nice place - staffing issues

great location hotel

No Dedicated reception staff - we had an issue with our TV not working , reported to a guy working behind the bar and the same again the next day with no one sorting the issue. lack of people on both mornings clearing tables at breakfast left us struggling to find a table to sit at. we cleared our own table one morning onto another so we could sit down.

Excellent location, wonderful staff and a tremendous breakfast.

In terms of proximity to Harrogate, the Harrogate Inn is hard to beat. It’s a stone throw from the shops and bars and there’s an excellent bar on site. If you’re driving somewhere, you’re on Ripon Road already so ideal for going to most places. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff friendly and helpful - special shout out to Danny, who really helped spare my blushes… We turned up on the Saturday night and I was told I’d booked for the Sunday. Horrified I checked the booking app and realised what a mistake I’d made. Looking around the busy bar I felt sure we’d be homeless for the night. Danny came through and sorted us an excellent room at the same rate and even went and made up the sofa bed for my son HIMSELF. What a guy.

Parking isn’t the best, but it’s a town centre and a popular hotel so my advice is when you’ve got a parking spot, stay in it.

Nice stay.

ThecInn looked loveky abd very Christmassy. Our suite was fantastic. Room and bed comfortable. Location absolutely brilliant. Royal Hall just over the road. Staff friendly, although not enough of them. Food was average.

Lack of knowledgeable staff. There was one senior reception/bar staff who was very helpful, but he was basically on his own on our first day. Menu was a waste of time as not alot was available that we wanted as there was a menu change the next day. Everytime we ordered the waitress came back and said not available. I think on our fifth attempt we were lucky. The wait for the food was also very slow. The room was lovely although the light in the bathroom was flashing on and off alot. We forgot to report that. We decided we didn't want our room cleaned so did their sign up for no room clean and get a free drink, but that never happened. The location of the Inn was great in Harrogate. Near to the shops and lots of eateries. Parking at the hotel was £10/night which considering the cost of the room was a bit of a cheek tbh. I am sure that it's difficult to judge staffing levels moving up to Christmas and when changing menus what to offer, but we ate once only in the hotel restaurant because the staffing, choices and wait times were really annoying.
