Perfect location to access the centre of Harrogate, Lovely building with a very nice bar/restaurant area. We enjoyed a lovely lunch outside in the sunshine when we arrived. The breakfast was lovely with a good selection and we enjoyed meals in the bar during our stay. My husband enjoyed Caffrey's on tap. Staff all very polite, friendly and smartly dressed. Kindly stored our luggage before check in time. Room was comfortable with everything we needed, so overall lovely accommodation for our short visit to Harrogate and would definitely visit again.
The second morning, when we came down to breakfast, there was an overwhelming smell of bleach which was quite off putting on our way into breakfast. Although appreciate the area had been cleaned, the smell of bleach is not very inviting when just about to eat. There are more pleasant smelling cleaning products you could use instead. Also, our room was above the side entrance so we could smell cigarette smoke drifting up into our room when we had our window open, from guests smoking by the doors so would consider room location when staying in the future.

The fact dogs were everywhere.
Having breakfast they can sit anywhere, in the bar, anywhere. Perhaps a non-dog area would be a good idea as it was evident a few couples were there who we heard weren't too pleased either?! Dogs being welcome in a place isn't the probelm but as non pet owners, i dont want to, on a getaway, hear dogs(whilst I sleep) smell dogs or experience dog hairs near my food.
As a respectable hotel chain, it was very unusual this given we've been to several others too.
The radiators in the room made such a noise it woke me up early both mornings and as the heating or some sort of system in the room came to life, again waking me up, it was a huge rumbling and meant for a poor night's sleep.

Not great once your past the entrance but the room was clean and comfortable. Could do with a refresh and some decoration but ok. Breakfast I’m afraid was not great and to be honest pretty rubbish quality.
