The toilet and water system in the top floor are very, very loud. Would not stop us booking again but something to bear in mind for quiet sleepers to remember to take ear plugs :)

I would definitely choose to stay here again.

The location was perfect for access to the Convention Centre, transport connections, shops and all the main attractions. The owners were welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was delicious. I particularly liked the fact that they cater fully for vegans and vegetarians and can adapt their menu for gluten free guests too (with notice).

I couldn't get iPlayer to work on the TV, but I know I could have asked for help with this!

Home from home

Amazing quality breakfast, fed me for the entire day. My double room was lovely and provided a great sleep. Both hosts were a joy to be around and had really positive energy that led to a comfortable and homely stay.

Rooms are showing some minor wear or tear that could do with a bit of TLC. But doesn't impact the quality of the stay

We loved the atmosphere. Just perfect

The warm welcome and kindness of the host. The room was comfortable and even had a little fridge with real milk. The breakfast choice was amazing and the food itself was delicious and plentiful. Would 100% recommend

Great 'full Yorkshire' breakfast. Lovely friendly hosts. Really conveniently situated in the city centre just round the corner from several restaurants.

Slight problem with the shower taps and a sticky bathroom door which we were a bit concerned might leave us locked in but I'm sure it will be fixed by the time you read this.

Im dairy and gluten free and they catered for me with no problem! Had a lovely cooked breakfast I had forgotten to put my parking permit on my car one day, I messaged Dan the owner and he very kindly did it for me

Our stay at the Franklin

Excellent location parking on street outside property...need parking permit which was given by the Franklin. Dan&Felicity were Excellent hosts nothing too much trouble very informative about the area where to eat etc and beautiful gardens in the town to vist. The breakfast was so lovely the granola fruit&yoghurt was gorgeous very generous portion. Cooked breakfast well presented cooked to perfection dining room light bright&inviting.

The perfect stay in Harrogate!

The attention to detail really elevated our trip - everything had been thought of. We didn’t need to worry about parking, communication was clear and prompt and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. One big highlight was that, it is so close to town so you don’t need to get taxis or walking for miles to get anywhere.

We found the mattress on the bed, uncomfortable. I think it was a memory foam, soft mattress but it wasn’t for us - maybe that’s just our taste.

Feel pampered in a beautiful historic home.

Beautiful room and location made us feel like we were staying in a palace or fine manor house. Beautiful walkable town centrally located with many big ticket tourist activities in range for easy day trips. Excellent hosts went above and beyond to be helpful and provide great service, caring for our specific needs. We stayed 2 nights but would have happily stayed longer.

Fabulous!

Fabulous stay at the Franklin. Spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Lovely coffee, tea and fresh milk available in the room. Beautiful Yorkshire breakfast in the morning. Kind and friendly hosts and a perfect location on the edge of town walking distance to the centre. Highly recommend.
