    We stayed for one night in July in the middle of a heatwave. The room was clean, comfortable and although no AC there was a fan in the room. We had a comfortable sleep and would recommend the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and very central. We parked a few minutes away. Plenty of coffee shops nearby and a lovely park. Very easy stroll to the centre of Harrogate. Would recommend.

    Greeting was flat. Bedroom 156 was soulless. Bed was rock hard even with a thicker topper and quilt. Hips and back hurt on both of us this morning. Bathroom nice and clean. View was a shed roof and brick wall. If the bedroom was nice you don't mind the view so much. Breakfast was tasteless, mushrooms boiled and could have done with a bit of flavour from butter. Breakfast room - ceiling, stained glass windows and panelling are beautiful but the rest of the hotel is soulless. Could be amazing with a bit of decor. Great location.

    We have stayed at the Crown Hotel perhaps a dozen times, it cannot be faulted for its value for money. The Hotel has an old world charm that it carries very gracefully and can be forgiven its few creaks and groans.The staff are polite and helpful,the breakfast more that adequate.The Hotels location is very central so nothing to dislike - there are better places to stay in Harrogate but for the money you will find The Crown very satisfactory.
