Staff were friendly. Meals were excellent.
No 14 family room was very cold. Would have been good if extra duvets were available in the room.

We had a lovely stay. It was clean & comfortable & the breakfast was good.
The room we stayed in was a little tired looking & could do with an update.

Right in the centre of Grassington in the Dales. Wonderful location. No car park but one just up the hill if it's not full and it's voluntary donations only. Can't believe there's a 'free' car park in the centre of somewhere like Grassington. Really handy for scenic walks and the pubs and cafe's. It even has a fish n chip shop. Pub is like a hiker's bar so understandably not 'posh' but fine and good beers/wines. Had breakfast and eve meal and they were both excellent. Service very good too. Rooms ok for the age of building and big bathroom with descent shower (but see below).
Rooms a bit 'tired' but perfectly ok for a short visit. Carpet looks newish but beds rock hard. Probably because of size of building the hot water takes forever to come through but good when it does. As it was New Years Eve lots of noise from bar area in bedroom up till 1.30am but not sure what it's like 'normally'. No parking but see above re this.

The room was cosy and clean with a good on suite with double shower, bit basic but great value, breakfast was cracking and the location and staff were first class
Stairs are many to room 14, top of the shop, and heating could have been alot better, was very cold

It was in the centre and had a log fire. Comfortable bedding with good quality bedding.
The rooms were dated we had 1 bulb out of 2 working so it was quite dark. It was too expensive for the standard of accommodation.

The location was great right in the middle of Grassington , the staff were amazing special mention to Maisy who went out of her way to keep our fussy eating grandson happy , also the lady didn't get her name who served our breakfast was so friendly and helpful, lovely open coal fire great this time of year , we had a meal at night and the food was really good , breakfast was also very good , we were in room 14 which is a family room which is 3rd floor and bottom of corridor which had its bonus of being really quite which also has very comfortable beds , the shower was large and had good pressure and good heat controls and really nice soft towels ,Would I stop here again no brainer a definite yes
No parking on site but national car park short walk away and cheap to park 24hrs, , could of done with two pillows , also was very cold outside and only one radiator working the other just needed bleeding , also towel radiator in shower room was only hot at bottom also just short of bleeding but made shower room cold , also only 3 sachets of sugar for tea and coffee .

Location in the village. The choice to eat at the property.
The new landlord seemed very nice but really needs to update the pub given time I’m sure it will be better but we were very disappointed with the stay and glad it wasn’t for longer than the two nights!
The breakfast was very well made and presented but freezing cold.
The room was very dated, curtains falling off the curtain pole, grubby bedside tables and the lights had no shades and were unsuitable for the room. The wall paper was coming away from the wall.
Breakfast was ample but freezing cold, very disappointing, especially on a cold autumn morning!

Brilliant, friendly staff, excellent catering, exceptional pub food, lovely atmosphere, superb location.
No on street parking, but as it was a cobbled market town we did not expect this. Adequate parking on the edge of the town centre

Bedding and towels good quality.
The prices in bar good and brilliant band on in the evening.
Room.too small and run down.
No hot water although staff really tried to sort it and gave me a discount which was so appreciated.
Booked 3 rooms and only had issue with my room 11.
My room needed a makeover.

Excellent location, clean rooms, lovely large bathroom, comfy beds, very helpful and friendly staff!
Room a little on the cramped side, lack of mirror above the dressing table, no parking.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and we appreciated the option to select specific items. The dinner we had here was very good.
It was hot and we didn't have a fan--the fan would've made a big difference! The bathroom could have used a little more shelf space for toiletries. Our bed was small for two people and very soft.

Great location in the centre of the village. Staff were helpful and friendly and lunch and breakfast were great.
Bedrooms were a bit tired and need updating and the double bed was very small. Has just been taken over though so hopefully the new owners will be making some improvements.

A charming and characterful place with a wonderfully quirky, old-world feel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious.
Room 1 was simple but spotlessly clean. The only thing missing was bedside lamps, which would have made it easier during the night when needing the bathroom light.

The bed was so comfortable, and the food in the bar was excellent.
The staff were very accomadating, helping us upstairs with our bags. This was a great start over for walkers giving a bit of luxury at the end of the day.

Rooms were recently refurbished and done well enough for what is an old building so not always easy to get perfection
I cannot think of anything , other than there was a mix up with the breakfast one morning , but it didn’t matter as all the food was lovely , had to ask for extra
Tea and coffee for second morning but again didn’t mind as not a fan of room being tidied / refilled just for a two night stay

The breakfast was good, the location is brilliant, the atmosphere in the pub is great, the group was good on Saturday
so all in all everything was good
The only thing I had a problem with , was we had no mirror in Room 1
All other things were good
6.0 / 10.0
Friendly staff and great location.
The rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment. Furniture not really suitable for the room. Couldn’t get the chair out easily to sit at the dressing table and the wardrobe is far too bulky for the size of the room.
7.0 / 10.0
The room was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable.
The staff were all friendly and the breakfast plentiful.
The addition of a mirror in the room and a hairdryer would have been beneficial.
5.0 / 10.0
The positioning of the property is good, right in the centre of town. The people were nice.
The room and bed were tiny and a lot banging about early in the morning.

Very comfy bed, good shower, well equipped, good that I could get in late, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was well organised, good portion and tasty.
A fan in the room would have been good. I didnt ask for one though so it might have been available. The carpets downstairs were sticky and overall it just appeared quite tired which made it seem like it wasn't very clean. Its a lovely old pub with original charm so I don't want to be unreasonable about what can be achieved in this type of building. Overall I was happy.

Great breakfast and fab location. Room basic no frills but clean and had everything we needed.
The food menu choices We have previously eaten there before and the food was plentiful, varied and excellent value for money.
The pub has changed hands and unfortunately there wasn’t a varied menu, so we ate elsewhere.

Good location
Price very high for the accomodation compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in. Staff not helpful. Disliked demand for full payment even before we had seen the room. Usually you pay as you leave next day. Service at breakfast perfunctory.
