Spotless accommodation and really well placed and a short walk to grassington main square. Only gripe was our room (room 11) was really noisy when the people in the room above were walking around, due to very creaky floorboards.
Other than that, highly recommended.

Lovely views and convenient location.
Housekeeping was done in a rush. Hair and bugs in bed, used shampoo in the shower… Messed up heating settings due to which the room was cold in the evening (though a small electric heater was provided, it saved the situation).

This lodge was ok. It was contactless check in with really no direct communication other than WhatsApp with any staff. The room we stayed in was quite dark and cramped, not like what is pictured on the listing. Grassington itself is a very cute/quaint town and we really enjoyed visiting. The footpath near the water fall is quite pretty!

Property was ok. There are nicer places to stay in the area. Nextdoor bathroom next to bedroom so loud during the night when people are up and down so didn't sleep well. A bit bashed and bruised over the years needs some TLC. Parking not ideal very hard to park when all spaces are taken. Fridge in room was nice touch. Would like to see something a bit different in the rooms to make you feel like you're in Yorkshire, like Yorkshire tea and local biscuits etc. something to set you apart. Has potential.

Extremely basic, very worn and tired decor. Not clean, dusty skirting boards, carpet was very worn and dirty. It was very poor value for money at £220 for one night and not as described. It is unstaffed with a telephone number to call for any remote assistance. This is not a hotel it is a serviced room. It must not be advertised as a luxury room or hotel because this is not correct.

Reasonably comfortable, very well located and quiet.

The Grassington Lodge is truly minimalist. A very small room, two bath towels, and one hand towel. For the third of three nights they added a bath mat and a bar of soap.
The only staff ever present was the cleaning lady and her assistant. She was kind and helpful but certainly not enough to welcome and assist guests.

A downstairs room and creaky floorboards above. Unable to get enough hot water for a shower. Really comfy beds

Beautiful place to stay and a great location!
We paid in advance and they requested payment a second time. But once I informed the host we already paid they were quick to remedy the situation. Overall we were quite happy with the accommodation and would come again!

Check in was not too good. The key had been locked in the room! Matter was soon resolved. The location is good being close to the centre but not so close as to be a nuisance. Overall a good stay.

When we arrived at our room past check in time the room was only partially prepared! Tge bed stripped, rubbish in room, uncovered, dirty towels on floor, I then tried for one hour to get through to someone to explain. They did sort the problem but it definitely spoiled the birthday trip

I didn't like the fact There was no staff around my husband fell on the stairs and his arm was bleeding I looked for a first aid kit but none to be seen. the bathroom even though no one else used it was not in the room. I had to go to the local shop for plaster to cover the wound from the fall
the bed was very comfortable

We did not like the spider web on windows but rest all look good

Noisy. Sounded like a heard of elephants upstairs.
Poor Wi-Fi, dropping in and out. Don't expect to be able to take meetings from your room.
Bed was uncomfortable. Clearly in need of new mattresses but they've added some horrendous toppers which exacerbate the problem.

Seemed like a very expensive hostel

Location is good, house is comfortable if slightly 'compact' (though layout well-designed) and local housekeeping excellent. However, the check-in system is too complex due to Hotels.com not releasing the client payment (made weeks before!) to Group Rentals until the very day (not "48 hours before"!) of arrival(!) resulting in missed check-in information - unacceptable. A small self-service 'cupboard' kitchen to (re)heat food and drinks and hold more basic supplies including milk and breakfast cereals) would be much better than crockery left stacked pointlessly in a hall cupboard and telling guests to go out for breakfast (useless for early departures as local cafes are all still shut then!).

I had a really happy night in Grassington Lodge . The room was spacious , with a sofa plus table and chairs.
Clear instructions were sent to me about how to access my room.
I was left real milk for my drinks and the bed was ultra comfy. Everything looked clean and pristine.
The pubs, shops and walks are minutes away too so not having food available isn’t inconvenient. Especially if you like exploring. It’s a perfect place to stay.

Greta value for money, clean and close to the centre of town. Looks a bit tired but very comfortable bed, shower was pretty good and the curtains kept all the light out so had a good nights sleep

My biggest "problem" was difficulty in parking after arriving late afternoon. All designated spaces were already taken but fortunately someone staying there helped us use the parking for e vehicles. When I contacted someone thru Expedia they said parking was first come basis. They advised that the National Park Car Park was an option. We made arrangements to leave car there for the next few nights just in case. That would not have been a hardship as it would have been a short walk. I think the Lodge should do a better job explaining this as a viable option. They also suggested parking on the road but there was never space I would consider safe from being struck by traffic. Room was very nice as was the rest of the property.

I stay in a wide range of properties across the UK, and my one consistent expectation is cleanliness above all other things. Grassington Lodge fell far short of this in room 7.
On my arrival, there was hair in the bathtub, dead spiders & detritus scattered around the bathroom, and something suspect in the toilet. I couldn't tell if the room hadn't been used for a while or just not properly cleaned after the last guest. I ended up using the shower in my friends' room since the bathtub (which is showing wear & tear) was my only option in room 7.
Inside the hotel, there are plenty of stairs and no lift/elevator. It is also a self-check-in property, meaning there is no employee at a front desk. Guests punch in a code at the front door and find their keys inside their rooms. Best for low-maintenance travelers only.
The car park is also difficult to manage. I and several other guests struggled to get our vehicles in and out.
Also to note: Room 7 is on the highest floor, and the hotel's free WiFi did not reach my area.
The lodge's location is extremely convenient to Grassington. The town square is just around the corner. Fans of All Creatures Great and Small will be delighted by the shops, cafes, pubs, and country walks.
My friends were in a room on a lower floor and didn't seem to have the same issues. Even so, I will stay elsewhere if I return to this part of the UK. 'Rough & Ready' is the best phrase I can think of to describe the lodge per my experience.

We were doing a 7 day trip of the Dales and booked Grassington Lodge as the final night. We arrived at noon and then tried to amuse ourselves for 4 long hours until check in. The lovely young cleaner got us in at 3-40. Had a visit from room 2 asking if our radiators were hot, no we said clap cold? I would also say for the money we paid we got 5 star in Reeth with a choice of 7 Breakfasts. Here I had to go into town and buy 2 bacon sandwiches.. Plus side was a great room in which Daniel Radcliffe, (aka Harry Potter) slept in. He should have left his wand.

This property is ideally placed to visit Grassington and walks around the area. It is clean, well appointed and first class en suite bathroom facilities.
The down side is that there are a lot of rooms and a number of the occupants came into this venue later into the night. The doors are vintage as are the locks etc, so we found it a bit noisy and had a disturbed sleep.

Stayed for one night as we had an early morning start in Grassington. Great value stay. Lovely welcome in the room - towels biscuits slippers . Lots of coffee and tea options - including organic hot chocolate. Amazing - and plenty of milk. We had a fridge with chilled water . Easy walk into the village where I grabbed bacon sandwiches from the bakery that opens at 8am. It might not be the cleanest it could be - there was old dust in obvious places - but the bits that mattered were super clean. For the price I would definitely stay there again. Check in was very easy and anyone I saw was pleasant

Very central to Grassington. Lovely view from our room. Fridge in room which I didn’t expect. Crockery, glasses and cutlery offered in the hallway. Sitting room for ground to get together was a bonus

No parking upon arrival , then no access , the young girl was out and sounded stressed . Many asking for room changes ! We were in premium ! Never been premium ! A basic double . Charity bed , springy mattress , tiny TV… plus points , shower room and cleanliness , plus fridge . Won’t go back , seems to have poor make around area on talking to others .

We would definitely stay here again.
