The overall experience. Modern facilities are obviously built with care and thought. I love a keypad entry but it's not often you find one that is this easy to use.

Convenient but hostless place in the heart of Grassington

The location is excellent with a narrow path straight to the main square in 3 minutes. The room was small but comfortable. The shower was good. The instructions about how to get in were very clear. And we appreciated the rack to dry towels and wet walking clothes, and the small extra radiator. When we asked we got a very generous allocation of biscuits to replenish our supply. When I called the given contact number I got a prompt and friendly reply.

We didn't realise it was an unhosted property, with a key code to let oneself in. The room was small for two people and walking gear and it wasn't very warm when we arrived on a cold evening. (It was better when we turned up the radiator.) One of the bedside lights wasn't working and the curtain was falling off the rail at one end. There is a sitting room with a fireplace but no materials to light a fire, although there is a picture of a blazing fire in the publicity photos!

Very enjoyable and we would book there again

Very easy to find - we never eat breakfast so that was not an issue though one could have it if wished at a cafe just round the corner. Parking was difficult one evening otherwise very good.

The only slight issue was there was parking on arrival but when we returned it was full that evening but OK next day

Not what I paid for

We loved the room we paid for but because the heating wasn't working we were moved to another room, warm and comfortable but definitely not the premium room I'd paid for. Location was great and everything was clean. Messages were answered quickly and efficiently.

The fact that I paid for a premium room but didn't get it. One window looked out over the bins, the other was barred because it looked out over a ginnel. Very dark room, had to have the lights on in the daytime. One small open clothes rack, fridge was on a table, not the premium room we had originally been given. Messaged the property but as yet, a month on and even though they've had a chance to reply to me, I've had no acknowledgement. When I looked on the website to see what the room was classed as, it wasn't even there to book, which makes me think that its used as an overflow room.

I thought the 2 rooms in the outer building vendale rooms were fantastic for our parents stay,very clean and so warm for them

The main building we had 7 rooms in total on our stay and the older rooms are awful,not clean very dated amd mouldy,also they were so cold,it needs all refurbished amd a good clean

We was in room 9 ground floor, lovely room but the shower is tiny, I had to squeeze myself in, I’m not a slim chap but I definitely not a big chap either, it’s the smallest shower I’ve been in and water pressure wasn’t great either, but we managed for 2 nights

I love Grassington but staying in that freezing room wasn’t acceptable, it should not have been rented out for the price

Good location in centre.

The central heating didn’t work or the towel radiator in the bathroom, it was freezing it ruined our stay, you could see yourself breathing in the room. The owners put a little oil filled radiator in the room it didn’t even take the slightest chill out of the air.

It was like staying in a student dorm!

No staff to ask questions Unable to access property as given incomplete instructions. Small cramped room that had seen better days and a bathroom that was like a corridor! Broken heating, although small radiator was supplied. Noise from other guests running up and down stairs banging on doors at 1.30 in the morning.

Apart from the location nothing else went well

Advertised as a superior room but was cold, dated, with poor amenities, torn wallpaper and dusty skirting boards the room was overpriced at £200 and very basic. There was a cupboard that wouldn’t stay shut and opened into a wall cavity. Small car park not enough space to park, we were disappointed. Added to this we were woken with a fright at 12.30 to a screaming, swearing row outside our door which was intimidating and very aggressive, and as we were on the top floor we felt trapped inside our room and afraid to open the door. We are aware that wasn’t the owners fault, but on top of the disappointing room we felt traumatised and couldn’t wait to go home.

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to everything and easy parking on the street if the car park full. Clear instructions and everything we needed for our stay. We were in room 8 which was fantastic.
