Craiglands Bed and Breakfast, Grassington

So friendly and welcoming, loads of lovely little touches to make the stay perfect. Breakfast was exceptional.

I attended a colleague's wedding reception at the Red Lion in Burnsall and searched for accommodation in the area on Booking.com - chose Craiglands on the basis of the breakfast reviews! Not knowing the area well I had some questions about getting to and from the venue and used the messaging facility to ask Lynnette and David for their advice and they were not only really helpful but offered to give me a lift back the Red Lion next day if I drove and then walked back along the river (a walk I strongly recommend whether on a lovely summer's day, or in the rain at night after a few beers as I discovered!!). Emma was on site when I arrived and was lovely, friendly, engaging and helpful, and the facilities were spot on and the little touches - cake on the little table on the landing, sweets in little bags on the beds, fresh milk to make a proper cuppa - were exceptional. Wonderful breakfast next day and Lynette was as good as her word and gave me a lift back to get my car which was very much appreciated. Strongly recommend

Home from home. Nothing too mich trouble for friendly hosrs. Fabulous baking and breakfast.

The steep hill from the hotel to the village. Booking.com didn't advise us and my partner struggles with steep hills currently. The guesthouse is outside the village which we could have done with knowing before booking. Giving distance from the centre doesn't really help if you don't know how big the place is.

Comfortable warm room..tea/coffee..kettle..mugs in the room.. fresh milk in a fridge outside our room.. Sweets and information on the area on the bed on arrival.. Also cake ( which was delicious) in the reading area.. Breakfast was super tasty

Such a lovely place. Lynette and Dave communicated very well from the first moment, providing food recommendations and best of all, accommodating my early start on the Saturday morning of my stay. They even bought in a special pre-race breakfast! Super service and I'd highly recommend their place. It really feels like a home-from-home.

It reflects the owners talents and her crafting skills. Very homely! Lots of things in this period house to observe including the beautiful stained glass windows in the Dining Room. Delicious breakfasts too.

Lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Comfortable stay. Delicious breakfast. Highly recommend. Was my 2nd stay at Craiglands, and whenever I'm in, Grassington will stay there. David and Lynette are perfect hosts. Thank you 😊

There was nothing to dislike.

Owners made us feel very welcome, the whole interior just had a great vibe, rooms were clean and quiet and the breakfast was amazing.

The bed wasn't too comfy, but OK

Bathroom ‘across the landing’ was technically accurate but allowed us to expect it was close by and not beyond all the other bedrooms and the main staircase Bed was ok but mattresses were more comfortable at other stops on our trip

Lovely welcome with tea and cake. Although my room was a smaller one there is a reading/lounge space outside. The bathroom for this room is separate however they provide a robe to use. Outside sunny spot to sit and enjoy the area.

Although I slept will in the bed it was not as supportive as I prefer.

Tiny room with only double bed; nowhere to put luggage. Big fail though was no en-suite bathroom. We were expected to use a bathroom accessed across a landing, down 3 steps and il 3 steps. Totally ridiculous. The room was way too small and we were unhappy about the bathroom situation, so we quit the property within 30 minutes. Unfortunately had to pay the 95 pounds, as we had booked online, but it was a major disappointment and we would not recommend ,

I spent two nights at this wonderful B&B during my tour of northern England. You can tell that it is a dream come true for the owners and that it is run with a lot of heart and love. There are so many little details that make the whole house so charming. Breakfast is prepared on request and is excellent. It's a great way to start the day and discover the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Thank you, Lynette and Dave.

This is a fantastic place to stay, very convenient for exploring the Dales and the towns within. Craiglands is just a short 10 min walk into Grassington, a very picturesque village with many shops and eateries. The hosts David and Lynette were excellent, making our four days away celebrating our wedding anniversary very special. Thank you. Craiglands is very clean with many special features to take in. The choices available for breakfast is first class and cooked to order. The beds were very comfortable leading to an excellent night's sleep and a powerful shower. If we are in the area again we would have no hesitation in staying here. Happy to highly recommend.

Superb welcome and food. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming and the accommodation was spotless and some nice little touches in the rooms such as sweets and a little torch attached to the key and tasty cakes available. Very quiet and comfortable. Lovely welcome from the hosts. Easy to find and good access. I knew at the time of booking the bathroom was separate from the single bedroom. It was absolutely fine but just to let anyone booking know that it is down a couple of stairs and up a couple of stairs so not immediately adjacent to the bedroom. The hosts offered a bathrobe too. This is not a criticism of the facilities, just to make people aware of the arrangements. Would happily stay here again and couldn't wish for a warmer welcome or better food and comfortable bed.

Location not bad for walking into town. Cake and coffee on entry. Open Parking on site. Powerful shower.

Not sure what happened but my wife and I ended up with two single beds although I did sleep well. Perhaps a bigger tv as it was not much larger than A4

Everything!! Dave and Lynette were so welcoming and they can’t do enough for their guests. Lots of little touches like fresh milk in a mini fridge on the landing, limitless tea and coffee in the room and free cake specially made by Lynette, and beer and wine can be purchased at very reasonable prices. Free sweets for the children and books and games can be borrowed. Breakfast superb!
