Location is good, room was nice and very warm, really liked the bar area.

The locxation is superb, with plenty of parking available. The staff were friendly, whilst the room was clean and perfect for our short stay in Masham. The bar area and restaurant were smart and quite cosy. We had two meals during our stay, an evening meal (see below) and a breakfast, which was really nice. There was an ample choice of cereals, coffee, tea and juices, before a good choice of cooked food which was fresh, inviting and better than I expected. Well done to everyone involved who were friendly and efficient.
We had our evening meal at the hotel but this proved dissapointing. We had to wait around 40 minutes for our food to be served after ordering which was clearly too long. We had different meals, but both were served with chips however we found these to be stodgy and dry. In my case (Fish and Chips), this clearly formed a major part of the meal and whilst the fish was okay, the meal overall was spoilt. One member of staff who appeared to be in charge appeared a little slow and occasionally forgetful with condiments etc and spent too much time talking to a group they clearly knew well rather than concentrating on the other guests.
Overall our stay was great and I have not indicated our evening experience within our score but if I were to stay here again, I would not eat here at night and go elsewhere.
