A good value, cozy B n' B, in a good location for Keswick town centre and the Lake District itself.

We were able to let ourselves in [had the details of the key card] so that was handy. The host was very nice and we only met the him at breakfast times, which was good, as one guest houses we stayed at the host seemed to be hovering around, waiting for us. Breakfast was always excellent, just what you needed for a day out walking the hills. The room was slightly small, but we found enough space for all our stuff. All in all Good value, would stay there again.

Perfect location and just the right amount of hospitality

Really well positioned, guest house owners on the absolute right side of friendly and welcoming without being too much! Breakfast was beautiful. Room was a bit smaller than expected but we did request a Mountain View which we got and was gorgeous. Had to cut out trip short due to a family issue, but would definitely stay again.

Lovely warm place. Our room was lovely, great size and huge bed which was very comfy.

Great location, very friendly staff and good value

The Guest House accommodated an early check-in upon enquiry, which was so helpful to not need to carry my bags around town and have a brief freshen up when I arrived. The breakfast was very good and served with such genuine and interest from the owner about what I was up to in the Lake District. My expectations were set with the small/solo room I had selected when booking and I was pleased for the chance of a good value room to just rest my head, as I spent all of the day outdoors and in Keswick by evening.

The Wifi didn't seem to reach the second floor but this may not be a permanent issue, I didn't ask about it (I wasn't around the property long enough for really to be an issue), but I didn't have any Wifi up there during my stay.

Overall it was very good and host were lovely, room was just slightly small and window wouldn’t open

The breakfast was excellent and lovely and hot, location was great near centre and near restaurants and bars/shops

The room is exactly as described - it met all my needs for 3 nights. Andy was very friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate while providing a delicious breakfast. Great communication before I arrived. Excellent value for money.

Tasty breakfast

The cooked breakfast was very tasty, catering for meat and non meat eaters alike. We both agreed it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in a b and b. I was provided with decaf teabags at breakfast and in the room which was good.

We found the room a bit too small.

Little winter break

Location few minutes from centre of Keswick, and easy access to sights. Breakfast was freshly cooked and ample to keep you going till lunch, served by the host. Room was great for the price, cosy but only for sleeping as you can't miss out by not going out even in winter.

Friendly host, good location but don’t expect any comfort

The owner was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Breakfast was good (although you have to order exactly what you want the day before)

The ‘double room’ was really a single attic room with a double bed squeezed in. The bed itself was hard and uncomfortable. We were on the top floor, 30+ steps upstairs from the entrance, just something to be aware of after a day out walking. Check out was 10am, with fines if you’re late!

Ideal.

Ideal stay for a few days. Met up with others for walking and eating out so I needed a cost effective, comfortable, clean, place to sleep. Great location and very quiet but only 5 mins walk from the town centre. Whilst my friends went to local places for breakfast I had a fantastic breakfast downstairs.

Just perfect

A brilliant place to stay in Keswick, a short walk to town and a comfortable, clean and spacious room. I loved the Lakeland themed decor! Andy was a particularly welcoming and helpful host at breakfast. This was absolutely excellent, especially with the locally sourced sausages. I can highly recommend this guesthouse and hope to return.

Pleasantly perfect in most ways.

The property is situated in a perfect location for what I needed. Andy was so lovely at breakfast this morning, really pleasant place. I stayed in the single room (4) and this was perfect for me. Bed was a little hard ( maybe a thicker mattress topper).

Nothing I didn’t like but breakfast could be a little later , maybe 10 rather than 8 or 9 and checkout at 11 rather than 10. Also, didn’t have breakfast as was up for a hike on the first morning - maybe a little discount could have been given for this.

Excellent location. A few minutes walk to the town centre. Nice and peaceful and quiet in the day and evening. Lovely breakfast, done perfectly. Very friendly hosts . Would definitely recommend to other travellers.

We enjoyed the town of Keswick and its surroundings

The location was excellent for what we wanted to do and see with no need to drive. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was excellent.

Whilst everything was good it would have been better if the bedroom and bathroom were bigger.

Location was not far from town centre..it was quite and very nice location indeed.as stated parking was not good but we found parking place not far..but no best but they do say this..but nice and quite…very comfy bed..room was very clean and plenty space..shower and toilet are yes very nice clean..all in all it was in my opinion brilliant

Beautiful relaxing and just easy going

I thought it was absolutely mega inside had issues with the wifi one night and parking was a pain at times when busy but that’s being picky highly recommend it’s awesome

Really lovely place.

The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were cozy, clean, and very well equipped with everything we needed for a weekend of walking, including a heated rail for towels and wet clothes. The breakfast probably has to be one of the best we have tasted in a guest house/hotel served by the lovely owners who were so friendly and happy to share their recommendations for things to do/places to visit. The bed was comfortable and clean and we had a really nice sleep. The room had the usual kettle, tv, hairdryer, hanging space, towels, and toiletries. We liked the contactless check-in option as it meant we could go out and about without being restricted to a check-in time.

The walls are a little thin so other rooms talking and snoring at unreasonable hours was a bit of a distraction but its to be expected in these older houses and doesn't detract from how lovely the place or the owners are. Maybe just a sign to remind people that not everyone goes to bed at 1am or gets up at 6am. Parking was a nightmare, with almost every property being a guest house fighting for roadside spaces, but the close location to the town meant we could leave the car once parked and walk/bus wherever we needed to go.

Fabulous week in Keswick in a friendly guest house

Lovely room. Clean and airy. Shower was large and powerful. Toiletries provided were lovely. Breakfast was excellent and the service friendly and thorough. Location of the property was a 5 minutes walk to Keswick centre and was a great base to drive to other areas.

Car parking was a challenge but that’s not anyone’s fault.

The breakfast was very nice. The location is good, an easy ten minute walk to the town centre. There is free on street parking. The hosts are very friendly. You can help yourself to bottles of water and fresh milk, tea bags etc from the dining room.

Our room was tiny, without much space for our luggage.
