Everything about Herdwick Guest House cannot be faulted. Andy is so helpful and gave us great advice. Breakfast was fantastic. Location is perfect with everything within 5-10 mins walk. We parked on the street and didn’t need to use the car again for our four day stay. I cannot recommend this place enough. Well done Tracey and Andy

The owner was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Breakfast was good (although you have to order exactly what you want the day before)
The ‘double room’ was really a single attic room with a double bed squeezed in. The bed itself was hard and uncomfortable. We were on the top floor, 30+ steps upstairs from the entrance, just something to be aware of after a day out walking. Check out was 10am, with fines if you’re late!
