A fantastic stay in a really comfortable guest house with excellent hosts.

The location of Avondale is perfect, within easy walking distance of the town. The room was extremely comfortable with an adequate quantity of refreshments available including complimentary biscuits and chocolates. Breakfast was amazing and so tasty, it set us up for the day. Amy was the perfect host and could not do enough for us, she gave us great advice on local walks. All in all, a fantastic experience. Thank you Amy and Chris.

Perfect stay in a lovely B&B

Welcoming hosts - everything was done to a really high standard - fantastic facilities, very reasonably priced and in a great location. Room was lovely - spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, with lovely touches like fresh milk. Plenty of gluten free breakfast choices, cooked perfectly with great gluten free bread.

Comfortable stay, lovely hosts, and an ideal location.

Our stay at Avondale house was fantastic. We stayed there for a few days towards the latter half of the week. We found the location to be perfect. It was very close to lots of pubs and restaurants and, importantly, very close to all the major walking routes in the area. Finding parking on the street wasn't too bad and once we found a spot we stayed there for the remainder of our stay. We want to say thank you to Amy & Chris for being lovely hosts. The breakfast they provided was absolutely amazing. My partner and I are both vegetarians and had no problem (as we do a lot of the time) in getting a really nice, freshly prepared, hot breakfast before our hikes. We would 100% love to stay there again and recommend it to others.

Because we were there during the summertime we had to keep our window open for some fresh air. The room faced the street so we had a lot of outside noise coming in. However, this didn't bother us very much or really affect our stay. We're adding this here in case it affects others.

Comfy relaxation AMAZING breakfast, amazing small touches, great location

The breakfast - truly best hotel (or even any other!) breakfast I've had. Quality exceptional. Great location 2 mins from the main street in Keswick. Lovely comfy room with a comfy bed. Gorgeous Lake district brand shampoo, shower gel and body lotion products. Those little touches made the experience.

Only the checkout is 10am - I'd prefer 12pm when checking out on a Sunday for a leisure visit

Lovely B&B located a 2mn walk to the centre of Keswick - lovely room and the hosts were very kind! Breakfast was excellent.

No parking allocated which can make it hard to find a space nearby when the town is really busy.
