February keswick visit

Lovely location to centre. Our host Michael was lovely and friendly and food was really nice. Good choice for breakfast. Really homely place to stay and very clean. Nice and warm rooms as was cold on our visit. Nice and peaceful aswell. Would definetely return on our next visit. If considering a visit would definetely recommend. Really good value.

Fabulous B&B

Very warm welcome from Mike. Lovely B&B. Room bright and cheerful with a lovely comfy bed and large clean en-suite. Breakfast choice excellent and tasty. Would definitely recommend a stay at Bluestones, and we will be back next time we visit Keswick.

Parking difficult, but found a space not too far just on the next street.

Absolutely everything, Michael is the perfect host you could have , his property is absolutely beautiful.The room we had was nice and warm and cosy . I absolutely recommend this place to stay as this guy has very high standards at a reasonable price . Thanks Michael for having us, you’re bed sheets smell gorgeous, just wanted to stay in bed and relax

Our little diamond of a break.

We’ve been visiting Bluestones for years. A diamond bed and breakfast. Michael is such a great host. Breakfast is great with a large choice of cereal, cooked breakfast, jams, fresh fruit, toast. Everything anyone could want. The whole house has a charm of its own, beds are so comfortable. Coffee, tea facilities with the added bonus of chocolates every day yum yum. Perfect position for access to the town. 3 minute walk. You won’t be disappointed if you book with Bluestones.

Shame there’s not parking and often have to find a space in another street, but everyone is in the same situation and there’s not fear of leaving it as there’s virtually no thefts there.

I'd recommend this B and B

Loved the breakfast, Michael was nice to talk to and helpful about local walks location excellent and bed comfy. Loved the collections of plates and vehiicle enthusiam.

Cleaning was ok but not excellent. Didn't meet the wife which felt a bit strange. Decor in bedroom dated.

Wonderful time in a hiking center; next time I’ll stay longer

Convenient to the centre of town. Easy to get out of town to the hills. Lovely little two story building.

Unfortunately, being on the second floor, made it a bit of a trip uphill. But the host carried our suitcases up, which made everything so much easier.

Plenty of choice for breakfast and very tasty . Location also fab as i like to walk everywhere .

Not so much didn't like but as i get up very early for work i like a little sleep in on holiday .So the 1 hour for breakfast was a little bit restricive , however worth getting up for .

Trip to Keswick

Bluestones was very central to everything in Keswick. Michael was very informative and helpful in pointing us in the right direction from everything from buses to restaurants. Nice comfy bed.

Comfortable and relaxing!

It was a great location and very comfortable. The hosts were wonderful and made my stay really easy and relaxing. I was working remotely and I was able to work in the dining room which was perfect, and they kept me topped up with coffee! I would definitely come again.

Friendly and welcoming place to stay.

Bluestones is in an ideal location, just a short walk into the town centre. The accommodation provides all that you need, (including a nice touch of some chocolates in the room!). Michael is a lovely, friendly host and he cooks a wonderful breakfast, all really well presented.

Excelent

Michael is a great host! He cooked us great breakfast and aways had our fruit salad and coffee ready before we would come down. A personal touch that we noticed was that even the table that we picked from day one was always ours when we went for breakfast. He is also a great car enthusiast and the house is very well decorated with old race cars. Any one who is into car will surely love to chat with him like we did. He took time to get to know his guests which is such a rarity these days. We stayed in the room with the bath and my wife who is very picky about cleanliness was very impressed, the room was spotless. 10/10. Thank you Micheal, Russ & Mira.

It lacks a car park being located right in town center but you can park on single yellow line from 16:00 until 10:00. Otherwise its a bit of a free for all. That is the case for all townhouses in that area.

Michael was really friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Place was really central, quiet and couldn't have been better for our needs. Managed to find a parking place on the road just around the corner which was an added bonus.

Highly recommend Bluestones Guest House!

The owner Michael is so friendly and makes you feel very welcome as soon as he opens the door to greet you. Our room was great… every little thing to help the traveller feel comfortable and feel at home, had been thought about… really comfy bed & pillows, large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, chest of drawers, several mirrors in the bedroom for drying your hair etc, plenty electrical points, small bottle of water each on arrival, sweeties and biscuits in the room, plus the usual coffee and tea. Lovely hand soap and hand cream in bathroom, good shower, cosy warm bedroom with black out curtains… perfect! Great selection for breakfast, you make your choices the evening before… really good coffee served. Highly recommend Bluestones Guest House, it’s in a fab location, the centre of Keswick is a 5 minute walk away.

2 night stay

The host was very accommodating, we had an early start at an activity and we were able to get our breakfast earlier than the normal timings. Very friendly service and very knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was lovely on both days.
