Lovely guest house, thoroughly recommended

Excellent, I will certainly be looking to book again for my next trip to Keswick.

Fantastic breakfast. Lots of choice and the avocado, poached eggs and chilli jam on toast were delightful. Just what's needed before a day on the hills!

The bed was a little too soft for me but I fully appreciate that it's impossible to cater for everyone!

Cosy, warm and would definitely go back

Really welcoming hosts that were overwhelmingly accommodating, from our breakfasts to lugging my luggages up the stairs. Really comfy bed and room, even surprising us with mid day snacks! And the house was within easy walking distance of the town centre. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Definitely recommend.

The room was a good size and the lovely big bed was very comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was amazing with good quality produce. We were given home made rock buns which were delicious. The location was excellent. Only a five minute walk into the town centre. Would definitely recommend this B & B.

Found the shower a wee bit hard to regulate but other than that no complaints.

A wonderful traditional stay in the heart of Keswick.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the breakfasts they prepared each morning were delicious (the menu was extensive). The house itself was a lovely traditional home, and its location in central Keswick was perfect - just a stone’s throw from the centre and ideally placed for heading out to explore the Lake District walks.

There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay. Everything was excellent, and I will definitely be staying here again :)

Just perfect!

I had a perfect stay at this lovely bnb and there was literally nothing not to like! The room was clean and cosy, the breakfast’s delicious, the location was great- just 5 mins walk into town. Rachel and her family were so friendly and welcoming- I couldn’t have asked for more!

Relaxing and peaceful.

Breakfast was lovely and hosts couldn’t do enough for you. Being alone, I felt comfortable, safe and welcome. Property is central and safe for a woman walking around alone.

Excellent B&B

Everything. Rachel was absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Bedroom very comfortable and food was amazing. Everyday there was a slice of cake left in the room for when I returned from my day out. A lovely gesture 😍😍 Dalkeith GH was ideally situated, being only a short walk to the town, Keswick Launch and the bus stop/station.

Close to Keswick centre, really clean, only a few rooms so it was quiet and very friendly. Everything I needed in my room.

A perfect retreat close to Keswick town centre.

Everything was excellent. Room 4 was very comfortable with a huge bed, lots of space around it and comfortable seating as well. A super shower also. Lesley and Steve were great hosts and couldn’t be more helpful.

The hosts were both absolutely lovely and very welcoming. The building is beautiful and a short walk away from the town centre and the Derwentwater and a short drive away from many of the different mountains walking routes. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, everything was clean, we got given home made cake, the breakfast was delicious and it was quiet. Couldn’t ask for any more.

So very close to the heart of town The owners (Steve and his wonderful wife - I forgot her name) were soooo lovely. They offered great suggestions about sights in town and were lovely to visit with. I had to do some laundry before we set out for the day and had hung up some clothes to dry and came back to find them folded nicely on my bed. They had hung them out on their clothes line to dry. The breakfast was fantastic and great afternoon treats and teas were left everyday for us

Fantastic stay and location!

I have stayed at this lovely property for a few years now. Lovely and clean and well maintained. What I must say though is the owners really make this a personal experience, I stay with my son and they look forward to seeing how much he has grown when we stay. Really friendly people! I would have no hesitation in recommending!

Superb location and superb in every way. The best breakfast ive ever had in a b&b and literally 2 minutes to the town centre shops. The owners are extremely friendly and the whole guest house was spotless. If you can ask for room 1 as you get views of skiddaw.

Amazing Visit to Keswick for our Anniversary

From the moment we arrived at Dalkeith Guest House, we were made to feel welcome and at home. We were quickly shown to our room and was greeted with an incredible view of Skiddaw. The room was immaculate and all the facilities you would need for a short break in the lakes, including a Nespresso Coffee machine. We both especially loved the shower, and the bed was very comfortable. Each morning of our stay we were served at breakfast by Rachael who ensured we had everything we needed and was very friendly and took an interest in her guests. The choice of breakfast was great and delicious English breakfast! Overall a great stay in the lakes thanks to this great accommodation. We will be back for sure.

The only very small issue was relating to the parking but if you’re patient, you will likely end up getting parked outside or nearby on the residential streets surrounding the house.

Perfect Guest house, highlight of our tour!

Perfect guest house, super friendly owners, lovely rooms, very good equipped and very nice breakfast area. Breakfast options are perfect (best breakfast on our tour), everything is handmade with high quality. We can recommend the Dalkeith Guest house without restrictions and Keswick is a nice town to spend some days in the beautiful Lake District.
