My room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view. The mattress was a little soft for my taste, but it was comfortable nonetheless. The couple running the guest house were very nice and hospitable; they were very attentive when serving our breakfast. The traditional English breakfast (sausage, bacon, fried egg, hash brown, beans with toast) was very tasty and they prepared it to our liking. The location was less than a 10-minute walk to Keswick town center where there was a plethora of restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines and tasty dishes.
The switch to turn on the shower head in my room was located on the wall outside of the bathroom, which was not at all intuitive and inconvenient since you have to walk out of the bathroom to turn off the showerhead.

Very cosy and comfortable B&B. Staff are incredibly friendly and go the extra mile to welcome you. Food was lovely and plentiful, location absolutely perfect to explore the town and nearby mountains! Can't recommend highly enough.

I can't speak highly enough of Dalkeith Guest house. The hosts were so welcoming, and Rachel went out of her way to make me feel comfortable, helping with my bags and friendly chats at breakfast time. I think she makes all guests feel special. The house is lovely, nice decor, immaculately clean. The location is perfect. Very close to the town centre and lakeside. About 10 minutes walk from the bus station, for those who don't drive, with buses that take you all over the Lake District and to all the popular spots around Keswick itself. I would fully recommend Dalkeith Guest house.
