Dalkeith Guest House

Absolutely lovely building with great staff who were kind and courteous. The room was great for a single bed, plenty of space to stretch your legs out as needed. Wonderful breakfast service, very filling on the full English.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. But I will admit that there could be some improvement to be made. This is mainly updating the photos of the rooms as they have been redecorated. How to actually check in, as I was trying to see if I had missed a message telling me I had to ring the door bell. Other than these two improvements it was great.

The guest house was really good and the owner/staff were very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was extremely good with a great choice and really set you up for the day. I would recommend this guest house 100% and it's location was excellent for the town and all its facilities.

Good sized room with lovely view. Bed comfortable, room clean. Great sized shower and en suite. Breakfast very good, poached eggs particularly. Homemade cake was delicious. Hosts very kind and also informative about the area.

Would have preferred separate toiletries rather than shampoo/body wash combined. Would have liked Black Pudding on breakfast menu but, honestly, I am being very picky as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Clean, comfortable and friendly.

Liked everything.
