An all-round great stay with a spotless room, very welcoming hosts and delicious breakfasts.

Everything was above expectations. The room was spacious, absolutely spotless and with good facilities (and a great view as well!) The hosts made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Superb breakfasts with generous portions and a great range of options. And a rather nice guest lounge with home-made cake! Would definitely recommend.

Everything! The hosts were absolutely lovely and so helpful with walk suggestions/routes and places to eat! The location was fantastic, so central! The guest house was beautifully kept, modern, clean, and homely feeling too, and the breakfast was fabulous! We loved it and can’t wait to come back!

The guest house hosts were lovely, kind and could not do enough for us. It was a lovely guesthouse one we will defo book again! Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked to perfection. This is one of the best guesthouses I have stayed in. Hopefully book again next year!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Sunnyside Guest House, would recommend it.

The owners were friendly and welcoming, helpful with advice on local transport. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a kettle for making hot drinks and a television. The bathroom had everything I needed; soap, body cream. a shower cap and gel with shampoo and conditioner. It was lovely to have a sitting room upstairs where I could relax, try some of the homemade cake. There was a good variety of things to eat for breakfast which was delicious. It was lovely to get to know some of the people staying there.

Great location just slightly out of the centre so quiet at night. Very clean and well maintained.

Lovely breakfast and plenty of choice. Fresh milk available not uht and lots of add on’s eg. Little butter dishes, orange juice pots . Toiletries supplied. Separate lounge with tea, coffee, cake and an honesty box if you wanted a drink e.g. wine, beer, spirits.

Perfect place to stay 😁

Sunnyside was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed..a great selection of toiletries/shower/body products, make up cloth, shower cap and even slippers and a robe..which I appreciated alot as a solo traveller and hiker. I was even able to borrow a trekking pole. Breakfast was delicious and had really great options. And I enjoyed a local beer from the honesty bar as a treat! When I arrived I was first greeted by one of their 2 cats, which I was very happy about, and the owners are really friendly and helpful 😊

The bedroom doors can be quite loud when people push/pull them closed. I only found this an issue though when people get back to their rooms late though.

A wonderful week’s stay here which exceeded my expectation.

The breakfasts were amazing! So much to choose from & cooked perfectly by Paul & served by Nicky The evening meal I had was delicious & as a solo traveller a bonus rather than wander around looking for somewhere you think you could walk into. Having parking spaces over the front of the property is a definite bonus & being able to park prior to check in if there is a space & leave car for an hour or so after check out.

There was nothing I didn’t like about my stay except it would have been great to be able to stay longer than the week I booked.

Wonderful guesthouse in Keswick

Hosts were wonderful nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and evening meals were superb. Little extra touches in Sunnyside also made the stay special. Requested a pack up for our long journey home again superb Location close to town centre. Definitely be back..

A five star property run by a five star team!

What a fabulous property! Such a gem in Keswick. It was very clean, the owners were so welcoming and couldn’t do enough to ensure you enjoyed your stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I’ll definitely be back. It was the little details that really made it special. A mini fridge in the room for your fresh milk, mint cake for the long walks, communal space with an honesty box for drinks and cake as well as a very needed tower cooling fan for the hot weather. Honestly, it was just such a treat to stay here.

I stayed at Sunnyside for 3 nights to do some walking in the mountains. The guesthouse is in a nice and quiet location but only 5 minutes walk into the town. It also has it's own parking space for 5 or 6 vehicles which is a bonus in Keswick. Comfy bed, nice shower, TV in working order, small fridge in my room which meant I could keep some fresh fruit and sandwich fillings. The owners were nice and friendly. I had a lovely stay and I would definitely look to book here again.
