All you ask for when you book a room is for it to be clean, comfortable and quiet. The BB just does the basics well. Great hosts,a very comfortable room with amazing views, a very nice hearty breakfast, Glad we found this little gem for a quiet couple of days away.

This was our second stay at Babbling Brook Guest House in Keswick, and it never disappoints! Paul and Carol gave us such a warm welcome, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are spotless and stylish, clearly showing the care and modern refinements Paul and Carol have invested in, while still keeping that cozy, welcoming charm. The freely cooked breakfast was just as delicious as we remembered — fresh, generous, and the perfect start to a day exploring Keswick and the stunning Lake District. The location is excellent — just a short walk to the Market Square, shops, and restaurants, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay. We’ll definitely be back again and can’t recommend Babbling Brook Guest House highly enough.

Warm and friendly welcome. Beautiful rooms with well stocked tea tray and fresh robes. The most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in. Tastefully decorated. Fantastic location. Most amazing mountain and river view. Fabulous breakfast.

Stairs to top floor a little steep if you were to have mobility issues ( but the panoramic views of the mountains made up for it) Other than that , it was perfect.

Paul & Carol make you feel Welcome to the Babbling Brook with its excellent location in Keswick.

Paul gives a very personal welcome and makes you feel like an old friend. He gives out free advice on local hikes and attractions to his guests. In the dinning room Paul has a large customized wallpaper map of the Keswick and its surrounding which is fantastic visual aid to plan your hike or to reminisce of previous hiked hikes which my husband and I did while living in Cumbria, UK. Paul and Carol serves an excellent healthy breakfast with locally sourced products with both meat and vegetarian option. Carol's homemade raspberry jam is a very nice personal touch and also very good. We have recommended the Babbling Brook Guest House to our friends in UK and Sweden.

Parking is a problem in Keswick due to Babbling Brook location and that local residence parks their cars on the street.

Lovely hosts who offer a squeaky clean room and wonderful breakfast. They were very helpful in making our stay enjoyable.

While the location was very good, (close to town and hiking venues) it was also on a reasonably busy street. However the traffic seemed to settle down by 10 pm, so it was manageable.

Our stay at the Babbling Brook was thoroughly enjoyable. The location was superb, providing easy access to everything we needed. Our host was exceptional—welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. Although the room was on the smaller side, it more than met our requirements and was very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious and clearly prepared with care by our host. We would happily recommend the Babbling Brook to others.

Parking was a challenge but that was beyond the comtrol of our host.

A pleasant guesthouse with nice owner and good breakfast.

A very nice guesthouse in a great location very near town. The bus goes from a stop just across the road,which was convenient. Paul was great and we loved his dog. He went above and beyond to get us some plant based milk for our breakfast,which we really appreciated,as some b&b’s don’t want to bother about this. The room was small but comfy and we slept well. Breakfast was very nice and cooked perfectly.

Excellent location, walking distance to the centre of Keswick. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was lovely. Paul was extremely helpful in managing to have our room prepared in advance of attending a wedding later in the day. Thank you!

Handy for the town centre but located away from the hustle & bustle of the busy parts of town. 10 mins from the bus station. Excellent breakfast and very comfortable accommodation. Would have no hesitation in returning. to the Babbling Brook.

Travelling by bus we had no issues whatsoever but parking might by an issue if arriving by car. On street parking everywhere but with many B&Bs in the area space could be at a premium at busy times
