The hotelier was very welcoming and friendly. Location was fab and close to town. Room was everything I needed and was a treat to watch iplayer in the evening. Breakfast was lovely and filled me up for the day.

It was pretty basic, but that wasn’t really an issue. I did find it a bit weird at first that there was no other door to the shower, but it was fine.

Great value guesthouse near centre of Keswick

Mark was a great host and his Full English Breakfast was excellent. My single room was a little on the small side but for the price that I was paying it was excellent value.

Breakfast time was fixed at 8.15am. The option of an earlier time would have been useful.

Location was excellent ten mins walk to town . Was able to park my Car . My breakfast was excellent food was just what I ordered nice and hot fresh tea and toast . Service excellent 👌

Good value for money, in an excellent location from which to explore the area. Recommended.

Easy to get to the property, and parking (late October) was not a problem. The property has some off-street parking which I used for a couple of the nights. Heating was good, and the property overall nice and quiet. I also couldn't hear my neighbours which was brilliant if I wanted to turn the light out early. Wifi signal was excellent, and internet speeds good too. The hosts Mark and Mandy were lovely, and no question was any trouble.

One double socket was a challenge for me to charge everything up. I was on a photography/video trip so always came back needing to get items recharged. Shower was actually in the room - a tray with a curtain as opposed to a separate ensuite area. It worked but was kind of odd. Breakfast times were fixed at 08:15 to 09:00. I'd have preferred a bit more flexibility, i.e. an earlier option to make the most of the day.

Comfortable and welcoming

Very nice cooked breakfast, very good quality bacon and sausages. Tea, coffee etc provided in room and generously topped up. As a single traveller it was refreshing to have a decent sized room with a double bed and en suite facilities at a single room price - good value. Location was good, quiet neighbourhood and just a 5-10 walk to town and bus station. Hosts were very helpful and obliging.

I hadn't stipulated any dietary requirements and generally eat meat but it was slightly disappointing that the vegetarian option for a cooked breakfast was simply the normal meal served without the meat.

It was immediately apparent why this is one of the highest-rated properties in Keswick - very close to the bus stop for the service to/from Penrith, just outside the central part so that it is very quiet, very roomy for a solo traveller, a host who immediately made me feel welcome and a good breakfast every morning. It's also across the road from where the Threlkeld-Keswick Railway path starts, so that was one more point in its favor. The WiFi was consistently available, and the room was cool throughout the day. Definitely helped make my stay in Keswick worthwhile and enjoyable.

The shower pressure was too low. Understandable because the shower curtain opens up into the room, so low-pressure water probably keeps it from spraying into the room. This was the only drawback in an otherwise fantastic stay.

Amazing hosts and Great B&B

Excellent B&B, the pictures don't do it justice - I think these may be old. Mark and the old lady ( 😉 ) Mandy are both excellent hosts and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Will definitely stay again next year when I come back for the ultra marathon I took part in. It's in a great location with plenty of parking and only a few minutes walk from the town. Breakfast was incredible.

Spacious and comfortable room. Very clean and with daily housekeeping. Excellent cooked breakfast, one of the best we have had. Tasty bacon and sausage. Very well situated in Keswick, close to the town centre and walking distance to the lake. Private parking is a real bonus. To be highly recommended.

Super Stay at Super B&B!

The guest house was perfectly positioned for our needs; it's bright and airy but also cosy with hosts that made you feel very welcome. The breakfast was superb. Beautifully cooked and presented and huge! It made a great start to the day, and with adequate facilities in the room to make additional drinks to take out, it just made everything easy. It's really central to the shops yet set back on a quiet enough street to enjoy the peace and calm one sometimes needs. We highly recommend it.
