Quiet and friendly stay in a good location

The property is a family run guesthouse within easy walking distance of the town centre meaning on-street parking was available at all times. Ben and Fiona are fabulous hosts who went out of their way to ensure I was well looked after. It was obvious that a couple of the other guests were returning after previous stays and I can understand why. Highly recommend.

A 10/10 stay - couldn't have asked for better!

I had an amazing stay! Fiona and Ben are lovely lovely people, and they took such good care of me during my stay :) I was travelling on my own (for the first time ever!) and they made me feel so comfortable and at ease. Breakfast was fantastic, and my room was super clean and cosy. I was absolutely delighted with the breakfast as well!

The property is in a great location and is nipping clean. We had room two which was a great size. Breakfast made to order with lovely choice of cereals, toast, yoghurts and fruit.

The only negative was the parking but most of the properties have the same issue.

What a gem!

Everything! Ben and Fiona have made this place perfect and I had an amazing stay. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy! The bed was super comfy, large private bathroom and really close to the town and some amazing hikes. Breakfast was top notch and being welcomed by the little furry friends in the morning was an extra treat. I will 100% be back.

lovely people there couldn’t do enough for you breakfast was excellent loads to choose from i would recommend this as it’s the best guest house in keswick and a 2 minute walk to town , a cake was baked for the guests to help them self’s looking forward to my next visit 5* 10/10 for everything

Breakfast was cooked as we needed it and was delicious. The owners and their dog, were welcoming and helpful with advice. It all made for a relaxing break in a lovely location

Everything ben an Fiona are amazing the food is out of this world an absolutely spotless will definitely be staying there again .Location is a couple of minutes away from town centre but at nighttime is so quiet had two of the best nights sleep I have ever had

The breakfast at Glencoe Guest House impressed me the most. Their dining room is elegant and spotless, and the food is fresh and delicious. Every morning, everyone greets each other, and Ben & Fiona are always warm and attentive. Even though my English isn’t very good, they patiently listen to me. PS：It’s also very close to Derwent Water, a quiet and beautiful lake in the Lake District—perfect for getting away from the city and relaxing. Thank you again, Ben & Fiona. Hope to see you again someday.👋

Wonderful 2night Stay. Already Booked With Them For Same Time Next Year

Lovely & friendly young couple Fiona & Ben. We were late arrival but Fiona was very helpful to allow us self entry into the bnb using spare key in outside safe box & access to our room. Very pleased with our room, fairly spacious with all that is required, nice ensuite with lovely hot shower. Good choice of tea, coffee, hot choc & biscuits with kettle. Great to have blackout type curtains in the room. Free very tasty fruit cake made available in hallway for guests to eat :oD. Nice choices for breakfast, the full breakfast was exceptional, very tasty, cooked well, we felt we could taste local quality produce, always a big plus with us. Bnb a short walk to Keswick town centre, so in excellent location.

We felt the beds were a little too firm & pillows too flat/hard. with 2 pillows was too high, with 1 not enough, so we put couple of items of clothing under pillow just to elevate the 1 pillow more so that was worked out fine :o) Each are their own, everyone is different with their comfort levels.

Weekend stay

The hosts Fiona &Ben were excellent hosts, very helpful, friendly and we will definitely stay here again. The room was perfect and cleaned daily which we didn't expect for a weekend stay. Our breakfast was cooked fresh every morning and served on hot plates which is great, loved our stay at Glencoe guest house.

Ben & Fiona were very friendly and welcoming. Glencoe is in a great location, literally less than 5 minutes to main square with shops, pubs, restaurants. On street parking was readily available. We stayed in room 3 with a lovely view of Skiddaw. It was immaculately clean, modern decor, crisp bedding, very comfortable. Choice of teas (flavoured, normal) coffee (including de-caff), hot chocolate and biscuits were topped up each day. Great breakfast, lots of choice from the usual English breakfast options with tasty sausage and bacon as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with lighter options if you wanted: cooked fresh. Also available; fruit juices, toast, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals. Our stay was perfect, excellent value for money, 10 out of 10. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely few days away in Keswick, wish we could have stayed longer.

Lovely little guesthouse. Spotlessly clean. Room size good with all the facilities you need. Breakfast options great. Couldn’t fault a thing!! Would definitely stay there again 👍

Nothing to complain about at all! Just to be aware of the parking- we arrived on Friday afternoon and couldn’t get parked near the guesthouse so had to use a nearby 24 hour car park, that was short walk away.

A (too) short catch-up with my oldest friend.

Firstly, I haven't stayed in a guest house for many years, always hotels or self-catering apartments, but my recent experience of The Glencoe may have changed that. It is excellent value for money, it's very clean and the breakfast is lovely. The owners (I wish I had asked their names) are genuinely welcoming, hospitable and approachable. The location is a five-minute walk from Keswick town centre, which is a thriving hub, containing restaurants, pubs and lots of small independent shops, galleries etc

Great from start to finish - thoroighly recommend

Lovely hosts, exceptionally clean rooms, fantastic breakfast. We had a great two night break and couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll be back soon! Homemade cake on arrival was a bonus. 😊
