The breakfast was brilliant too

The hosts are really friendly and helpful. I went away with my partner for the weekend. It was a treat for a birthday. There were wine glasses left after hearing about the birthday. The room was cleaned to perfection each day.

Great well positioned B&B with on street parking and easy walk into centre of Keswick. Immaculate property, bedrooms attractive and well decorated. Kettle, generous tea/coffee/biscuits etc. Lovely warm en-suite bathroom and towels. Comfortable beds. Delicious and generous breakfast in bright dining room. Jo is a great host (and Rob cooks a mean full English!). Lovely stay - would definitely recommend and come again

Lovely, friendly stay close to the centre (with great breakfast!)

I had a lovely stay at Rivendell, which is situated just a few minutes walk from the town centre and buses to Penrith, Windermere and more. The room was perfectly sized for a solo traveller with lots of storage, and the bed was extremely generous for a single (closer to a double). The host, Jo, was absolutely lovely, communicative and helpful, helping me book a taxi and giving advice on transport and things to do. You can select from a generous range of breakfast options each morning and a great, hearty breakfast is then cooked to your specifications. The surrounding area has tonnes to do and great fews and was very easy to get around even without a car.

WiFi was a bit spotty but that's to be expected for the area. Bath towel could have been a little bigger. That's basically it, I had a pretty much perfect stay!

Enjoyed our stay

I wish I could go back.

The breakfast was hot and fresh every morning. The host made sure we had plenty of coffee and juice. The dining room was so cozy. The guest house was walking distance to the center of town. We enjoyed the walk very much.

Fab facilities in a convenient location

The accommodation was fab and the location was very convenient for the 77A bus to Buttermere and the 555 bus to Windermere, which allowed easy access to the central and western Fells. The town has lots of shops and restaurants and a cinema I visited when the weather wasn't great.

Excellent option for solo traveller

Room was generous for a single, and the whole property was excellently run by very friendly and helpful couple. While the single room was not ensuite, the bathroom was just down the corridor and for my exclusive use, and was very nicely decorated. Bathrobe was provided, too, which was a nice detail. I arrived early and Jo let me leave my bag in the morning so I could get a full day's walking in. Excellent breakfast

Lovely B&B, exceptional breakfast, would recommend.

Stayed 3 nights, and the room while small (as expected) was perfectly functional. It was not advertised as being en-suite but did have its own private bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was amazing, with a range of options - Fruit salad to start followed by a full English seemed the most popular choice and the quality of both was high. A short 10 minute walk into the town centre, with a good range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, Keswick makes an excellent base to explore the Lake District from.

Fabulous attention to detail. Very comfortable stay, had a great nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent. Jo is a great host and the location of her place is spot on.
