Very good hosts. Welcomed us to the property, showed us to our room and were very friendly and pleasant. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was cooked to order, hearty and delicious. The walk was a pleasant 10 minutes to central Keswick and 5 minutes to the park.it was very quiet and we slept very well. We would absolutely recommend this lovely b and b. Thank you to the hosts!

Excellent, quiet, convenient location, ideal for a couple on a short break, any time of year.

Local and quality ingredients for generous breakfast, also half breakfasts and any swops/ special requests accommodated. Hosts very attentive to guests needs eg oat milk for one of us. Quiet, convenient location, ample parking, fantastic views of surrounding fells.

Being really picky, please could you provide some some de-caf tea/coffee in the room before our next visit........We appreciated the offer of fresh milk and the filling of flasks.

Cragside is lovely all round!

Alison and Wayne were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good stay. Really friendly, room was lovely and was perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was very tasty and well presented. The view was amazing! Would definitely stay there again!

Very pleasant guest house that is nice and close to the town centre.

The owners, Wayne and Alison, were so polite and helpful, especially with Wayne telling me about the nearby bus stop and route to Troutbeck, as I was joining some friends there for a hike nearby. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough with an excellent shower. Nice big sash windows which were a little heavy to lift up (I'm thinking more for older people or anyone with any wrist/hand issues), but it was nice and quiet there for the most part. I had a lovely breakfast on the Sunday morning before I left. There is a bus stop just a mere 5 mins away and the bus service is pretty decent/regular. There's also a lovely little park and stream (Fitz Park), just next to the bus stop that runs alongside the main road. Overall, this was definitely worth staying at and I would happily stay there again or recommend it to anyone else.

The only real nitpick wasn't really to do with the place itself, just more whomever was staying above me on the Friday night, seemed to be a little noisy coming up the stairs and going into their room etc., But thankfully, it wasn't for too long and it certainly wasn't anything to complain about officially. I do realise noise carries more so in certain places than others!

Everything was perfect.

Alison & Wayne were absolutely fantastic hosts making us feel welcome, nothing was a bother. They provided leaflets with information, things to do & maps of the lakes. Perfect location, walking distance to park area, town centre & lakeside. Room was big with en-suite shower, toilet, basin & heated towel rail with washing products provided if needed. Bed was very comfortable. Room was serviced everyday & restocked with tea, coffee sugar, milk & clean cups if required. Excellent breakfast set us up for the day.

Lovely house where they make you feel right at home.

Staying with Wayne and Allison was a superb experience. They made us feel really at home. The room was spacious, clean, and really comfortable. All the facilities worked perfectly. The breakfast was amazing, they catered all of our needs, and provided us with substance for our daily hikes in the picturesque Keswick. I would love to stay with them again.

A Fantastic Stay at Gragside!

The room was lovely & ticked every box! The bed was large and comfortable, there were plug sockets at either side of the bed for phones & a dressing table with an accessible pug for the hairdryer & a mirror. The en-suite had a good enclosed shower, heated towel rail & toiletries if you needed them. The room was serviced each day & the tea, coffee & milk were always re-stocked. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful & the hosts Alison & Wayne were always available & knowledgeable to help with anything we needed to know.

There wasn’t anything that we feel could have been improved….

Excellent English breakfast with lots to eat. Alison was extremely helpful as was her husband Wayne. He gave us great travel tips about what to see and do. We really enjoyed their home and getting to know them some.

Perfect place to stay in Keswick

Walking distance to the lake, shops and restaurants. The room was pretty as well as clean. Full English breakfast was made to order and served in an attractive breakfast room. The hosts gave us a map and information about the area.

Great place to stay

Location, cleanliness comfort, breakfast all first rate. Competitive rates.

The only very minor point was that decor was dated and tired. Panelled doors had been flushed with hardboard then painted over. People did this in the 1950's, then by the 1970's exposed the nice panels again. This is an extremely minor point.

Perfect for Derwentwater walkers

The location. Close enough yet far enough to not hear the pubs closing. I also am quite obsessed with the carpet in the front room. Breakfast was superb, and the owners were super lovely and very accommodating.

A nice little two day break.

The location was only a ten minute walk to the centre of Keswick which was ideal. The couple who own the property were friendly and helpful. We visited three lovely little museums which were very interesting.

The fish and chips in the local chippy (Keswick Chippy in the square) was absolutely disgusting and over priced.

Superb

Our room was bright and clean with traditional pine furniture, giving us a cosy feeling and the bed was very comfortable. We were made to feel welcome instantly and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was delicious and generous.Gragside is a short walk away from the town and a nearby park and convenient for walking/hiking/ cycling etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking weekend and will definitely visit Keswick again.

The shower was a bit temperamental. We couldn't get it to a comfortable temperature. We were also a bit disappointed there were packs of biscuits with the tea/coffee facilities.
