Breakfast was good dinner was excellent compliments to the chef, presentation was good food was well cooked we liked that the menu changed each day and a good selection,

If anything I would have liked hair conditioner along with the hair and body wash I assumed would be supplied, that wouldn’t put me of returning but I would know to bring my own

Very friendly staff in reception and bar. Free parking. Clean comfortable room. Easy walk into village. Quiet location.

No air conditioning or fan in room, although we were there on the hottest day this year, it probably isn't normally an issue.

Fabulous location and allowing for the age of the building very comfortable and airy public rooms

The bathroom was poor, the shower was a trickle as well as the bath being to small,so trying to take a shower or a bath was a laborious task which on the hottest days of the year was not good. Also, why in such a spacious room is the toilet pedestal fitted so close to the door! Finally the use of the cheapest toilet paper can surely not be cost effective. We only dined one night,initially because the restaurant last sitting was 7.45pm, the food was just ok, however I was surprised that my request for a mixed salad with my main course resulted in one tomato quartered, some slivers of cucumber peel and a small bed of wilted tasteless leaves. And finally, the cost of the tabled’ote 3 course meal at £45 was excessive!
